sadly they don't allow samples. pretty affordable price compared to jenni's or ice cream jubilee. interesting flavors for hispanic month as well. but it didn't wow me, i think because i had quite high expectations.
Some of the best ice cream I’ve had! I had a cup of the fresh mint and blueberry sour cream ice cream. Both were amazing but I love the blueberry! My husband also had
The blueberry along with the lemon curd. The lemon curd was amazing! Zesty and creamy at the same time. A must try if you are in the area.
I started queuing close to the closing time and was assigned a difficult task to break the bad news to people behind me that they would have no ice cream. The task was really difficult! They understandably gave me free ice-cream for the task.
The ice cream was good enough that worth all the effort. There were some fancy flavors. I liked the butterbeer and blueberry sourcream cookie flavours that i tried!
The most unique flavors! We were actually hoping to try OKPB, but were added to a waitlist for that so we decided to walk over to grab some ice cream while we waited. There's no seating and it's more of a quick pickup style place but they have different flavors that change occasionally.
I went with a single which gives you a full scoop and a half scoop that can either be both one flavor or two. I did the real strawberry ice cream for my full scoop and Girl Scout for my half scoop. The Girl Scout flavor was a chocolate mint with brownie pieces mixed in. Both flavors were so good! The strawberry tasted fresh and nothing like store bought ice cream, and the Girl Scout flavor was a unique take on mint ice cream. Overall I'm happy with the flavors I chose.
One of my friends got the pain perdu French toast flavor which actually tasted exactly like biting into French toast which was so cool. They also got the Thai chili coconut which tasted like peanut butter and actually had a spicy aftertaste. Not sure how they did that but it was so unique! While they unfortunately don't do sample tastings I don't think you can go wrong with the variety of flavors they offer. It's a great stop and I hope to come back soon!
Really solid ice cream with unique flavors. Highly recommend the Blueberry Sour Cream Crumble.
My husband and I were looking for desert and found this spot just down the street from where we are housesitting.
We split a flight with:
- Blueberry Sour Cream Crumble
- Real Strawberry
- Butterbeer
- Bay of Figs
My favorite flavors were Strawberry and Blueberry Sour Cream Crumble. You could tell the strawberry ice cream was actually made with strawberries. The Butterbeer wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting.
If you like unique ice cream flavors, this spot is worth checking out.
The ice cream here is AMAZING. I can't have dairy, so I got a scoop of vegan cookies n cream and one of cortado in a waffle cone and they were THE BEST vegan ice creams I may have ever had. The cortado is the way to go if you like coffee ice cream, but the cookies n cream is the way to go for anyone. The server said she prefers it to the dairy one. Huge, flavorful cookie ribbons and a smooth, sweet but not too sweet, creamy base. The waffle cone, despite being vegan, was the platonic ideal waffle cone. Please visit this little hole in the wall.
Ice cream worth traveling for! Great original flavor combinations executed at a high level, very good portion sizes for the price and excellent/friendly staff. It would be great if they brought samples back, because there are too many flavors I wanted to try!
The flavors of ice cream were incredibly unique and unlike anything, I've ever tasted before. They were absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to visit this shop once again when I am back in D.C.!
Very creamy and we liked three of our five flavors very much (chocolate, ‘the dude,’ and vegan cookies and cream) while the other two (sweet cream and vegan cookie milk) were ok but not amazing. Decent portion sizes and pleasant servers too!
