Pleasanlty Surprised. Tried this place for the first time and everything from the pizza to the pasta and soup has lots of flavor and seemed fresh, will be back soon :)
I'm glad I stumbled on this place a few weeks ago. I've been here a few times now. One of the best lunch spots in the CBD. The pizza is good and always fresh and not sitting out long, it's not the best but its pretty good. The Alfredo sauce is the best I've had in the US, however the pasta is just boiled box pasta. The owner is typically the greeter and bus boy and works his butt off and service is top notch. Highly recommend.
Love everything about it!. If I am eating out in downtown OKC during the work week, I always pick here! In fact I am at the Italian Express right now! The owner is super friendly and always treats his customers fabulously! If I ever need to get my mind off of work I will dine-in but if I am busy at work I can take it to-go! I have never tried their pizza because I am so in love with their spaghetti and salad - fresh!!!! Anyways, I recommend this place for their atmosphere and anyone craving spaghetti!
I love this place. Cozy, but crowded ambience, excellent and fresh basic Italian buffet menu and the friendliest owner and family. One of my favorite lunch places in OKC!
I ate here during the lunch rush. You enter the door, pay your (somewhere around) 8 bucks (which includes fountain drink), and hit the buffet. They have a salad spread, a few different pastas and sauces and pizza section. the food was very decent for the price and buffet setting. Their marinara sauce was tasty. The staff was kind. I would definitely go again.
Decent food, decent price, nothing extraordinary. I went there today because the line at Subway was way too long for me to wait. Here, I was able to get in, fix a plate, and pay for my order in less than 3 minutes. I was pleased to find that they do their to go orders by the box instead of by the pound since pastas can be quite heavy with the sauce and all. The pizza seemed a little undercooked/unimpressive, but the spaghetti and meatballs was quite good and for $7, you'll have enough for 2 lunches. Only real complaint is that I did not see garlic bread or breadsticks or anything to go with the pasta, which is why I tried the cheese pizza. The ravioli and lasagna both looked really good but I was in a Spaghetti mood today and didn't wanna get greedy piling it up in that to go box.
Nice little in and out for the lunch rush. Convenient. The owner is a really nice man as well.
Tried it yesterday. Great for the lunch rush. Pizza was a little dry, but the meatballs are out of this world. noodles were cooked al dente and the sauces were amazing. good choices on the salad bar. Ordered to-go though, and they didn't have bags for me or my friend, and there also weren't lids for our drinks, which only come in small sizes for to-go customers, even though it's advertised as "Express". Very clean and tidy inside, nice staff, great atmosphere and very busy. Overall was good, but i ended up ditching my drink about a block or two away because driving with an open cup, however small, made me nervous.
Pretty good Italian buffet. This isn't a fancy restaurant, rather it caters to the downtown lunch rush. For the price it is well worth it. Salad, pasta and pizza with a surprisingly good selection.
It tastes like my childhood. Its that small kicthen hometown pizza vibe. The stuff you get in the northeast united states. Its fresh every day and when you get a glimpse of the kitchen you can see them throwing dough and making pies.
Owner says he has been in business for about 29 years. I'm sad to know I have been missing out on great food for that long. Its Downtown so parking is a problem but we'll worth it. Open from 11-3 mon-friday. Everything i ate was delicious, the soup amazing.
The food is delicious and customer service is by far the best I've ever had. The man at the front is so welcoming and friendly. This place feels like home!
Love this place! The owner is so kind and accommodating. I've seen him take plates of hot food from his buffet outside to hungry homeless individuals. Gotta love it ❤❤❤
A tiny little space with BIG Italian flavor!! I left so full but it was so worth it!! Greeted by a very friendly man, not busy but not slow. A must visit!
I was immediately greeted by a nice gentleman (maybe the owner?). The food was the best Italian food I've ever had! It was a small selection, but every bite was amazing! Only complaint is I didn't have a bigger stomach! Within extremely easy walk from the Sheridan OKC. Makes me wish I was in the city more often.
I have been eating here for YEARS. Sam, the owner, is great and treats everyone like wonderfully. The buffet is always fresh and tasty. You can’t go wrong with Italian Express.
Found this while in town for business. I wish we had one in Florida! Good food at a great price. And the gentleman that runs the place is awesome. I will definitely be back soon.
The owner personally welcomed us in and kept our drinks full the entire lunch, it was very nice! The salad is very yummy and the food was replenished often so you can go back and get more whenever you like :) it's a buffet so we were allowed to begin eating immediately so this place is great for a quick, low price, filling meal.
We LOVE this restaurant. We discovered it completely on accident just looking for a place downtown to eat when we first moved to OKC proper. The lunch buffet is all we have experience with here, but I can tell you it's a wonderful selection of pastas, shockingly good pizza, and the usual assortment of salads and dessert-fare you might find at any Italian buffet. What really sets this place apart, however, is the owner. He is the hardest working man you'll ever meet in your life. Always happy to assist if you have a dietary preference, answer questions about the food, get your drinks filled, you name it. You won't leave hungry and you can always rely on having great service. As a bonus, the convenient location makes it a great "quick lunch" in my experience for anywhere downtown as you can be in/out within thirty minutes if you're in a hurry. If you're unsure, yes you can just walk in and begin serving yourself food then sit down. You pay on the way out. If he catches you on the way in, he'll even have your drinks waiting for you at a table by the time you get your first bits of food! For my Wife and I, we get out for about $25 for the two of us. Not bad!
