My all time favorite place to eat in union market! Great pasta that they make fresh! I get the rigatoni noodles with red sauce and add some pesto. I add chicken and mushrooms. It’s always a hit. One time the noodles did taste me stale and I took the pasta back and kinda got an attitude. Uhm why are you mad at me because your noodles are stale? But definitely way more food experiences that bad. The lady who normally works the register could definitely be friendlier. I often feel like she has an attitude but ignore it because I’m not there for her I’m there for the pasta. But that’s why it’s not five stars.

I am so glad that I found this pasta spot at Union Market! I ordered the spinach fusilli with grilled veggies and alfredo sauce. Although it was a very busy lunch time on a Wednesday, I still had my food within 10 minutes of ordering. One of the coolest things about my experience was watching the fresh pasta dough get pumped out from the pasta machine. The menu had lots of options, but I am very pleased with my vegetarian-friendly carb choice.

Had a great take away dinner, rigatoni with vodka sauce. Nice portion and the flavor was great!

Slightly loud due to being in Union Market. However, food is amazing. Seating can be hard to find in spring, summer, and fall due to the Markets business during those seasons.

Needed catering for about 15 people for a birthday party. The catering menu was straight forward, and I knew the group that I was with was dying for some Italian dishes. Sent them an email, and Claudio made everything a breeze, and after a couple back and forth emails, everything was set. I ended up getting 15 Chicken Alfredo's, 15 side Caesar salads to complement the main course. The salads came in their containers with their dressing on the side. They put the containers of croutons on the side and in a separate box as well. The pasta came in a large container, and there was a box of Parmesan cheese that was separate too. The best part about this place was that the food was delivered to the event. On the day of the party, everything was set. It was time to eat. The salads were nothing too special, but because the cheese, dressing, and croutons were all separate, the guest at the party loved how they can be flexible with their options and add a little or as much as they wanted. When it was time to dig into the Chicken Alfredo, it was love at first bite. It wasn't too creamy, or too bland. The taste was just right, and everything was just filling. The guest at the party was saying things like "Oh my god", "I need to take some of this with me back home.", and some people even went back got 2nd and 3rd plates. Having the pasta in a large pan worked well because our guests would get as little or as much as they wanted, and there was enough for people to enjoy multiple rounds. Finally, the cake was brought out, and 'happy birthday' was sung. It was time to cut the cake. Everyone loved how tall the cake looked, and that the design was nice. After the guest received their slices, our guest was saying how the cake wasn't too sweet, and how it had just the right amount of fruit in it. The fruit wasn't overpowering and every ingredient complimented each other. Once the party was over, we still had pasta leftover, I and a few friends gladly took it home, and that became my lunch and dinner the next day. Overall, I'm glad I came to this place. I loved the place so much, they deserve this 5-star review. The team at this place knows what they're doing, and they do it right. If I'm ever in the need for some Italian, I would definitely dine in at this location. Thank you Claudio, and thank you to the team at Cucina Al Volo for the great experience, great eats, and a great memory. I will be sure to be back!

Visiting from Oklahoma, we got their chicken pesto sandwich, beef Bolognese, and fresh mozzarella. Absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh. Plenty of flavor. Their marinara sauce that came with the mozzarella was just as delectable as the rest of the meal. We had to eat outside which was fine considering we’re in a pandemic but it was chilly since it’s January. No biggie. By far some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a while. Can’t wait to visit again for another meal.

I sometimes come here for lunch and I’ve never had problems with the food or service. I get the spinach ravioli with tomato sauce and beef meatballs with a side of garlic bread. It’s not cheap, but it’s damn delicious.

A place in the Union Market at Washington which was nice. We took the brusheta cheese with tomato sauce and it was delicious. It came with a lot of peace’s inside which was also awesome:).

Meatball is the best thing from this place, highly recommended . The chicken is the worst, very chewy and overcooked. End up $20+ per pasta, not worth the price but if you go with just red sauce and meatball, they’re ok.

I really enjoy the pasta dishes. I’ve been a few times and have had the lamb ragu and the bolognese sauce. Both were excellent. I really like that they don’t overcook the pasta and don’t drown your food in sauce. The people working there aren’t exactly the friendliest (I have stood at the cash register waiting to order totally unacknowledged for over 10 mins) but the food is worth it.
