I love this place. The staff is friendly. Good but small selection of wine and groceries. The bar has good atmosphere and the patio is great to hang out on. They even have sushi catered from a restaurant.
Fair warning- You probably won't like this place is you have a problem with hipsters and/or are expecting a "corporate" type store without a soul.
Nice addition to the neighborhood with growler fills, good wines (though limited selection), good beers (though limited selection). They also have very good coffee.
The place is large and they are still working out their stocking issues.
Their sandwiches never let me down. Always pleased with my order. The crab cake sandwich is OMG DELICIOUS!!! Also love the BLT and Southwest Turkey Club. Great prices for a healthy sized sandwich.
It's a nice addition to the neighborhood. They still need to work out their stocking cycles; their limited selection is expected; being out of things so often isn't. The staff are friendly enough, though your experience will vary depending on whether you happen to interact with someone extroverted.
I'm hopeful for the future of the place, as they work out the kinks, as it is PROFOUNDLY convenient for me.
Great selection of local products. I reccomend ordering lunch at the hot bar. I got the three sides plate with Brussels, butternut squash and quinoa, and grilled vegetables. Sandwiches also available to eat on the spot! Nice market with healthy options to choose from after you fill up! Right off the Van Ness metro.
Has quickly become my favorite place to stop in the morning for coffee and a light breakfast. Wonderful selection of gourmet and local market products. Amazing environment to relax with a coffee and not feel crowded or rushed. Fast Internet and public Wi-Fi is available.
This was a first class casual lunch experience. Went in looking for a sandwich walked having eaten the best italian hoagie i have had in DC, met a new friend, and found my new favorite post-work happy hour spot on Connecticut. Highly recommend. Can only speak to the first class service and phenomenal sandwiches.
Awesome place to grab a bite to eat and something to drink. They have a ton of small, socially grocery items and even sell coffee. Also during the summer they have wine slushies. The people are friendly and very helpful. Definitely check this place out!
I like the food, crowd, and location. The hot bar food can be hit or miss but the bar selection more than makes up for it. I love how many Rt. 11 chips they have and the staff is amazing!
Cute place putting up some competition for Calvert Woodley just down Connecticut Avenue. Their only true advantage over CW, though, is the dine in portion with alcoholic beverages and some hot foods. It kind of fills the niche left behind by Marvelous Market and adds a little something extra. It's not for me, but I can see the appeal of you live in the neighborhood.
