I visited for the first time this week and was amazed. The store is small but clean, bright, and inviting. The smells of the food were delicious. The service was excellent. How have I not been in here before. I am excited to go back and try all their ramen and other food items. I highly recommend

Delicious freshly made food at very reasonable prices! Everything is yummy. You can't go wrong! I love their onigiri! They're so full of filling and perfectly seasoned! The bentos are all wonderful. My coworker ordered the ramen combo and it's was delicious! I will definitely be back. Yummmm!!!

UPDATE: cars lined up long before opening time because folks are hungry for the hot takeout meals. Fortunately they had several ady and can make more from their cook-to-order menu. Such good food, and super friendly service, too. I'm glad this is now part of every trip to Utah. ‐--------- I wish this store were in my hometown. We visit Utah occasionally and will now make this an "every trip" stop on our agenda. The food is authentic, delicious, and amazingly inexpensive. I love that you buy a ticket that somebody's sweet obaachan shuffles with to the kitchen and then she soon comes back with fresh food. It's all takeaway--no seating here--but they carefully package it for travel. For example, the ramen broth is in a separate cup so you combine it at home. Well-thought-out. The prepackaged bento boxes are top quality. There's even a "sukiyaki in a bowl" full of flavor. I'll stop now but could rave for days. Even a cool Mitsubishi van in the parking lot as a bonus.

This place is truly a gem. I’ve been looking for a place to get affordable onigiri since my time I lived in japan. Everything is delicious and authentic.Their ramen and curry is only 6 dollars too, which is insane. Check it out!

I’m very happy to have found this gem. My matcha dreams come true! So many great items to choose from, as well as amazing customer service. I tried a matcha roll and loved it, and also picked up some necessities. I look forward to shopping here more often. Accessible parking and good location makes this a comfortable choice for avoiding the crowds all while having fresh food and a vast selection. Thank you for the helpful, friendly service!

Love going back to this place now and then just for onigiri. They make three flavors: salmon, tuna mayo, and ume/pickled plum. All really good, and I'm really sad when I don't get one. Because they sell out. Of course we never leave without other Japanese snacks or frozen pork buns or shumai for later. The owners are very friendly.

Absolutely fantastic. The selection is very good for ingredients that are usually hard to find and the staff are super hospitable. Great place for lunch too, they have super delicious fresh to-go food everyday. The highlight is the eel/unagi bowls. They hit my craving everytime and are extremely hard to find anywhere else. They give a generous portion too, but eel is among the healthiest food to consume so it's guilt free. They also serve fresh ramen at lunchtime but I haven't gotten to try that yet, but soon! Highly recommend supporting this shop.

I wish I had found this place sooner! Love their authentic variety and fresh made food, yummy. If you can’t be in Japan right now just go visit this awesome market. I’ve always wanted to try Dongo and they had it! My daughter has been looking for authentic Taiyaki, found it! If you’re trying to make a Japanese dish come here for your ingredients. They also have the little table top grills that I’ve been wanting to grill unagi….I could go on about it but just go, you’ll see!
