This is the second time I've had food from here but the first time I've actually dined in. I absolutely loved everything about this place. The atmosphere is very portland-esque. The food is completely on point. The staff is very nice and very helpful. And I love how the tables are wooden and worn down looking. It makes it feel much more homey. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is vegan or have celiac disease. It's 100% gluten free. There isn't any worry for us with gluten allergies. Win win!
kombucha on tap, cute spot on Hawthorne, line shorter than Jam for brunch, could have eaten one of everything on the menu, friendly staff, thank you for offering DELICIOUS vegan dishes; can't wait to go back for more when I'm in PDX again
Harlow offers a unique twist on vegetarian food. I have really enjoyed everything I've ordered from harlow. The atmosphere also offers something fun & unique. I've frequented numerous times
This is it! This is where you go for breakfast or lunch in Portland. Awesome staff, really helpful with the menu. Let's face it, there are a lot of menus in this city so that's great! The food is interesting, creative but more importantly delicious.
I've been back on two trips. I'll go back to Harlow on the next.
Good people watching as well!!!
This place is a gem located on Hawthorne. Healthy, organic, vegan, and totally delicious! You can never go wrong with the specials, like this salad with greens, tempeh, and watermelon.

I could eat at Harlow everyday. The food is fresh, healthy and tasty. In the morning I like the Pride of Portland or a scramble. Lunch it's usually the chili Mac and dinner whatever the special is.
Harlow is the sister restaurant of the ever-popular Prasad (located in the Pearl District). With decorative accents, plenty of seating, and a prime location, you can bring just about anyone here any day of the week. Just blocks from the Hawthorne theater and a handful of Portland icons, its making its way to be the top vegetarian/vegan restaurant in PDX. It surprises most people that I am not an enormous fan of vegan food, but removing butter, cheese, and dairy products from my already limited options usually leaves my food with less flavor, and my palette unsatisfied. Not here. Harlow is the place I brin
Being a non-vegan, it is hard for vegan places to match what I could get somewhere else, but Harlow over-delivered. Cold-pressed coffee with coconut milk, bittersweet chocolate and agave accompanied my ridiculously amazing meal. Smokey tempeh, black beans, corn, kale, tomato ranchers sauce and guacamole were piled on top of warm corn tortillas, and drizzled with jalapeno cashew cheese.
The atmosphere is so warm with all the live plants. My wife and I visited while we were in Portland and sticking to a gluten-free diet. This place made that soo easy. We had brunch so i tried the Pesto Garden bowl with eggs and my wife had the banana walnut pancakes. Everything was delicious. The bowl was full of a variety of yummy veggies. The pancakes were so hearty and had a great texture for gluten-free. The crunchy coconut flakes on top of the pancakes really enhanced the experience. We will definitely visit this place again.
Super cool place, great atmosphere to sit and enjoy a meal with friends. Grabbed a smoothie to go when I was heading back to Tacoma and was instantly sad I didn’t have a Harlow back home! Can’t wait to come back and try more, the menu looked delicious and I love all the health friendly options.
The biscuits and gravy were savory, delicious, and filling. It doesn't take a lot to satisfy your appetite when eating at Harlow. Even crowded, the atmosphere is relaxing and friendly.
Passed by many times and finally decided to try and SOO glad I did. This place is incredible. Everything was so good! You can’t go wrong with whatever you get. I got the quesadilla and everything about it was fantastic. Full of delicious vegetables, the vegan cheese was great, the tortilla was perfectly crisped, everything about it just blended so well together. Cozy atmosphere, very low key, all the servers are super friendly, the smells from the kitchen were making my stomach growl, overall just a really great place that I cannot recommend enough.
Harlow is a fantastic healthy option for lunch. I tried the Betty Bowl my first day in Portland and was immediately obsessed. In fact, I had the same bowl again the next day for lunch. Staff is friendly and the food is delicious! Great cookies and my co-worker tried the avocado toast which he loved. Will get going back on my next trip.
Absolutely is very inviting, the staff was extremely friendly and the food tasted as beautiful as it looked. My TO-GO spot when I’m NW Portland! Love this gem!!!!
Happy Fall!!!!!
Gluten free galore, creative food and nice atmosphere. Dishes were hit or miss (smoothie was just bland, curry soup was great). Groovy counter guy tad annoying with commentary.
Harlowe has two locations in Portland, and they’re a great option for anyone looking for clean eating and a friendly staff. I appreciated the amount of dairy-free, gluten-free, and cane-sugar-free menu items they had available.
From their green juice section, I went with The Rita, which includes celery, cucumber, spinach, kale, parsley, mint, & lime.
To order it, I made the joke “I’ll have the Margarita, hold the Marg” and the staff seemed to really enjoy it, or at least they were polite enough to make me feel like my joke was funny.
The East Side location we went to on SE Hawthorne had large windows, beautiful green plants, and plenty of comfortable indoor seating options. We were able to find street parking, and it was a great overall experience.
This place is primarily vegan. All items are made vegan unless you request to have them use real eggs instead.
The food is always delicious, with a solid variety and the staff is always friendly. This is definitely a go-to vegan breakfast location. Def recommend the Outlaws Scramble.
Friendly heads-up warning. This place is packed 95% of the time. If you are planning to do takeout, order ahead or risk the, at times, very long lines. They have a separate line for pick-up orders.
An absolutely lovely space that's one of the mellowest spots in the city. Lots of open air, wood, plants and good energy.
Fantastic array of fresh, tasty things to drink. Even the iced tea was a cut above. Wellness shots were delicious and packed a punch that did indeed leave us feeling that our health was restored entirely.
We didn't try much of the food, but a mushroom biscuit was layered with delicate flavor and quite delicious.
The staff were friendly, kind and welcoming as well. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.
