This is the second location I have been to as well as in a different state. This location is great as well, fresh seafood, hot food, full bar, what more could you ask for? Here I tried their seafood roll as a substitute for craving a lobster roll. I needed a quick fix. It wasn’t too bad but, in all honesty, you just can’t beat the lobster roll. But the flavors in the seafood roll were intriguing enough. The oysters are always great with delicious dipping sauces. There is an abundance of parking here, at least from what I can tell, and no payments needed, at least it wasn’t that day (Sunday). This establishment is also a part of Galleria of Mt. Lebanon shopping mall.
Nice place to have lunch or dinner. I very often just get the fish and chips because it’s that good. It is always hot and fresh. Service is usually good and it’s conveniently located with plenty of parking.
Fantastic and Fresh seafood! Pleasant environment with wonderful staff.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner. We didn't order the meal we ordered from the limited menu. Everything's was delicious.
Last year we did have the Thanksgiving dinner. It was very good and it was so much food!
I'm so glad Mitchell's participated in restaurant week. I'd never been to either location and we didn't know the location closer to us existed until Bryan noticed them on restaurant week.
The food was AMAZING. Bryan warned me to save room for the shark fin pie, thankfully. I don't eat dessert at restaurants often, but the shark fin pie is worth it!
I tried the gumbo and tuna bowl, which were both good. I loved my jambalaya and the asparagus took a while to get used to (a bit softer than I prefer), but it was good. The shark fin pie was beyond amazing, but I'd recommend getting the SMALLER portion unless you have a table of 4 or more. Splitting the big one with two people was too much. Delicious, but too much - even when I saved half my jambalaya for lunch.
The service was wonderful. Our waitress, Lisa, was so fast & stealthy that I didn't always realize she'd filled my water until I'd look down and see that it was full. The manager was also very friendly.
We'll definitely be repeat customers and look forward to many more delicious meals at Mitchell's. I wanted to try almost everything on the menu, so I'm sure I'll eat there many times before repeating a dish (other than getting the mini shark fin pie to share).
Anybody in Pittsburgh, it’s a must go!!!
If I was on Death Row - this would be my final meal.
I discovered this restaurant some years ago. Not this location. The Ahi Tuna Poké Bowl and the Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl are just items every fish/ sushi lover needs at least a billion times in their life. It's the only things I order.
I dream of it actually.
Today's visit was a total unplanned shock walking through the little mall. How could I turn down a lunch at my favorite restaurant.
The raw tuna melts in your mouth. The crunch of the veggies, not only tastes so good but sounds so amazing. No fish smell. It’s a 100 out of 5 stars.
The staff is so sweet and attentive to your needs.
This is going to sound silly but the water, so clean and.....pure (??) tasting. There is no funny taste to it.
This is my favorite restaurant, hands down no questions asked. I'd eat this Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl DAILY if I could.
Paul ordered the Chicken Cesar Salad and said it was very good. He would definitely get it again.
I have to laugh because it's normally me that struggles to find fish to eat on a menu. (Very picky eater) Not this time!! Paul, the steak and potatoes man, had the limited options. But duh, It's clearly a fish lovers dream restaurant. Hahaha! He was happy with his chicken parm though!
Give me more Ahi Tuna Rice Bowls!!!
I can't wait to go back.
// I have since been back a couple times and it's just as amazing as ever. Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl is perfection.

Phenomenal food, great atmosphere and our server Christian was also fantastic. Even the house salad was stellar, the pine nuts and dates make it very unique. Their sea bass made the fish at "Off the hook" in Warrendale look like McDonalds. Will definitely be returning!!!
The food was very good, fast service and delicious food.
Went here for my wife's birthday. We used to live in the North Hills, and "Off the Hook" was the place to go. Compared to that, I actually believe Mitchell's Fish Market is better. We had the shrimp appetizer, and I had the blackened sea bass. My wife had the stuffed cod. Both of us loved the food (and my wife isn't even a big fan of fish!) Our server was extremely friendly and professional. I wish I could remember his name (tall bearded guy) but he deserves credit.
The only reason this is a 4 star rating & not a 5? The hostess who sat us was extremely rude and unfriendly. From the time we asked to be seated, she looked absolutely miserable and gave the impression that we were bothering her. Maybe she was having a bad day... everyone has those. But that was just the only negative part.
Also, I forgot to take a picture of the entree because I was so excited to eat it! That should let you know how good it looked
The meal was decent. The king crab was amazing and so were the oysters, salmon, shrimp, and hush puppies. The calamari was very bland and the crab cake had a very overpowered spice/seasoning on it that made it so you couldn't taste any of the good flavors of it.
