Can’t believe this place is closing.. if you have a chance over the next few days to try Alejandro’s gem of a cheeseburger, DO IT. Can’t wait to see where he goes next!
You know when you see these drool worthy pictures of food posted by the restaurant that makes you want to come try? That's what happened here.
Burger was good. I ordered the classic. Double patties. The American cheese was melted gooey. Was it as drool worthy as the pictures they post? No. But it was a good burger. Especially if you are having a beer with the guys. The fries were good and left me wanting more.
Limited alcohol selection at the bar. They do have jello shots for you shot lovers.
They do have a TV up on the wall if you want to sit at the bar and watch sports.
Once the band comes, it gets real loud and you are there for the band.
Small venue. Make sure and reserve your table if you are coming for the band.
VZD's is an icon of North western ave. Located in a popular food, club, entertainment area. Awesome French fries, adult beverages, sandwiches, live entertainment on weekends. We attended the British envation group playing music from the '60's. The drummer, Bobby is one of my class mates. Friendly, attentive service. Parking can sometimes be found just to the north of the building.
It's absolutely Sad that this iconic spot is closing down after all these years simply because of a rent hike (rent doubled) by the "new (young) property owner" that also owns Sage. Absolutely unbelievable yet completely believable in this day in age. Hopefully VZD's will bounce back sooner than later and continue its tradition and legacy for future generations.
Nice place for a bite and live music. Laid back atmosphere and good selection of cocktails at about average price. The "Old Fashion" draft is a solid choice at a mere $2. Food was quick and good. The nachos were enough for 3. Sounds quality was also good and not really a bad seat in the house.
Jake was great entertainment for the evening. The food was good also. The truffle parmesan fry were very good
WOW!!! I don’t know how to express the feeling of eating such an absolutely magnificently assembled burger. Hands down the BEST BURGER IN OKC!!! The sides were fresh and crispy, and the chef was superb even in his table side manner. The drinks were exceptionally crafted and the staff was ALL welcoming and professional. This will be a regular haunt of mine from now on. I fear that eating a burger elsewhere would feel much like infidelity. Thank you so much for the great service and incredible eats!!!
Came out for Taco Tuesdays. Chill atmosphere outdoors with good music, perfect following a tough work day. Great food for a good price too. Both the shrimp tacos and steak tacos had some zip. Beyond the tacos, I'd say VZD's has the best Black Bean Burger in town.
My wife and I visited here to also see one of our favorite bands play, Aranda. I had Alejandro's Onion Burger with truffle and parm fries and she had Alejandro's nachos. Surprisingly, both were absolutely delicious. This is a bar as well so the atmosphere can be a bit loud. Service was fast and friendly. We also tried some cocktails, the Red Nose and Alejandro's Ranch Water. Both were great as well.
Always fun been coming for years only needs better beer selection especially of local brews and another pool table wouldn't hurt but great patio great service safe chill spot
