Always fresh and fast with great service. We call this “our Mexican place”. Portions are good sized. Ask for the avocado salsa, It’s spicy and yummy!
Every time I visit Oklahoma, I have to eat at least once at Los Vaqueros, the food is fast, not too expensive, and high quality. The staff are friendly, and the portions are generous. I wish we had one closer to home, but then again, I'd weigh 100 lbs more. :) The location may not look like much, and the parking lot a bit cramped at times, but they do a great job of getting people in, fed until they are about to burst and out quickly.
Los Vaqueros does simple Mexican food - very well. It is simply what you order on a plate or three. The food is prepared well and presented in an attractive but not overly showy way.
They have a good cheese sauce and a pretty good salsa - especially if you like garlic.
The tacos, enchiladas, flautas, guacamole, and the like are very good. They also have some non-traditional items including fried catfish (Whale on a Plate) and Mexican ribs.

Very fast service, very attentive (but not overbearing) wait staff, generous portions of real Mexican food prepared by people whose first language is Espanol. It's not a high-class establishment, it's a family place where you can go in your jeans & t-shirt and get full of great tasting food. I've only been once, but it's definitely my new favorite place to go. I can't wait to go back.
We gave this place a try and love it! Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food and service were outstanding! We will be going back to try some of the other dishes. If you're in the Midwest City area, you got to try this place!
I have been visiting Los Vaqueros in Midwest City for years now. In my experience, they have been extremely consistent. Great Tex-Mex food, great staff who are always friendly, and extremely quick even when busy (which is almost all the time). This restaurant is probably my favorite in the Midwest City area and my go to restaurant for many family outings.
Try the Chili Rellenos. Their beef Chili Relleno's are the best I've ever had anywhere! They use steak versus the ground beef you usually find. They also fry it crispy and smother it in cheese. Their special atomic salsa is also pretty fantastic. Great place for a quick lunch when craving Mexican food.
We have never had a disappointing visit. Love the food and the service. Always fast and hot. A+

I've been to Los Vaqueros several times but have never left a review. I knew I needed to change that so here it goes.
The food: I can't say I've had anything bad at Los Vaqueros. The wife will say their salsa is a little too spicy at times but she thinks jalapenos are spicy so take that with a grain of salt. I think the salsa is fantastic. The cheese sauce is to die for. As for the main dishes. I've tried so many. You won't leave here hungry. Be adventurous order something that sounds good and is out of your comfort zone. They have so many wonderful dishes.
The service: The staff is so friendly constantly checking on us even though we were in the back. Kept our drinks full and we're happy to offer opinions and help on deciding what to eat.
The Atmosphere: this is your standard hole in the wall Mexican food joint. Tables and chairs, TVs on the wall, and the wonderful smell of delicious food in the air. What more do you want?
Great food tonight and more than I could eat. They never let you run out of anything and the prices are pretty reasonable. It's been my Mexican Food Spot for a few years now.
Very yummy food for a good price and very friendly and fast service always!!!! They are super busy from time to time and you see them running around to make sure you have the best experience possible!!!! The whole crew...not just 1 server 🥰 very awesome place!

Decent Mexican food. The salsa is delicious and mild. They have a hot salsa that is savory and spicy. The staff is very kind. The food itself is basic Tex mex, nothing fancy, good and filling. The fajitas at another table smelled amazing and flavorful, I had a combo that could benefit from seasoning. Thanks y’all
My favorite place to get Mexican food! Everything here is perfect. I haven't ever had a bad experience at this location. This is definitely the BEST location. I LOVE their chicken!
Oh my gosh try the Chile Rellanos! They're perfect, large, crispy on the outside. I had mine topped with cheese and they were so delicious.
I have never had a rellano so perfect outside California. I seriously recommend this place.
It's casual dining, not a romantic date night. It's clean, but homey. You'll love it though.

Very good food. Great service. We would have never found it on our own but so glad we did. I had the flat enchilada plate, my husband had the chilis rellanos. We both took a box home.
