Always crowded in there when I go, which is cool, I’d highly recommend this place to anyone. Had a couple of pints and some food, Top Notch!
It’s a pretty standard mcnellies. Monster beer selection, food is pub style and very good. This location has a bit of a weird layout due to their location in the building.
The best beer selection I've seen in a long time and the bartenders are truly top notch. McNellie's is what I consider a "safe bet" meaning I find it impossible to have a bad experience here. I highly recommend it if you're from out of town and traveling through as this is the kind of bar where the food atmosphere and service will leave you feeling like you got to see the best side of OKC

Ok, the place is deafening. There were 20 or 30 20-somethings, packed around a huge table assembly on the first floor, obviously well lubricated and quite vocal.
The second floor was mostly empty with several two and four-tops. It was loud (so leave your cell phone in the car as you will not be talking on it). You probably should be enjoying the food anyway.
Ordered the Potato Leek Soup, Patty Melt, and Beer Fries.
The Potato Leek soup was wonderful. Do yourself a favor and order the bowl. You will hate yourself for having only ordered a cup. The broth is relatively thin, clear, and flavorful with chunks of potato and a bunch of chopped leeks.
The Patty Melt was good. Two cheeses, 8oz burger patty, and grilled onions on marbled rye. Not terribly greasy as so often happens with patty melts. I ordered mine well done as usual for hamburger - but apparently they will cook to order. I'm kind of careful when ground meats are involved.
Beer Fries were good as well. Kind of crispy outside, soft on the inside. Not flacid in the least. They had a very light coating of what I presume is beer batter on the outside. Very nicely done. They didn't seem to appear on the menu but my server, Seth, offered them up anyway as an alternative to the thicker cut pub fries.
Seth was pretty amazing. He got the order right, was both attentive and helpful, and I suspect reads lips. Yes, it is that loud, even after the herd of 20-somethings departed, but the food is worth it.
Who doesn't love McNellie's? The beer options, the food, the service---All wonderful! My go-to sandwich is the Reuben and it's best accessory is the pub fries. I would give you beer suggestions, but I don't stick with one. Venture out! The bartenders are knowledgeable and can help you find the beer for you. McNellie's is basically what you'd expect from a Pub. You won't be let down.
I was with a large party of family and friends and they were able to seat us every quickly. Also due to that fact I was able to try everything we all ordered. That consisted of fried green beans, fried pickles, patty melt with sweet potato fries, shepard's pie, black bean burger, fish and chips (beer battered fries) and the white chocolate bread pudding It was ALL oh so amazing. Not to mention the beer selection is out of this world!

I LOVE McNellie's! Yeah, it's loud...I get that. But have you been in a pub in Dublin? Yes, I promise you that it's loud. I've spent a lot of time there, I know! The food at McNellie's is great. They make from scratch all the sauces, salad dressings, soups, croutons, etc... The vegetable's are fresh and colorful (as they should be...dark green lettuces, ripe red tomato)... definately not the norm for OKC! Great artichoke dip, the BEST BLT EVER!, great burgers, the best sweet potato fries I've ever had...ask to dip them in their homemade Irish blue cheese dressing. It. is. amazing. I can't tell you how much I love this dressing. I hate, loathe and despise blue cheese. But I'm here to tell you that the homemade Irish blue cheese dressing at McNellie's is A M A Z I N G! I like how they separate the smoking from the nonsmoking at McNellie's...they don't do that in Ireland. The menu has a wide variety of food and the best beer menu I've ever seen (but I won't drink anything other than Guinness or Chimay...but I will sample). Just give it a try for yourself. Don't not try it based on the weak negative reviews on here. I traveled around Europe and, to me, this is what the Pub is all about...food, drink, music, conversation...yeah, it's loud, but that means it's HAPPY!
Sweet Salty Sensation. While attending my great niece's graduation party, I paired the sweet potato fries with the South City chicken. The result was a savory grilled chicken breast topped with fresh avocado and pico. The fries were light, sweet, and salty. Fine servoce too.
The potato leek soup is great, and the turkey bacon wrap was fantastic. Great service at the bar too.
Excellent!. McNellies is an excellent pub! Great food, great beverage choices, and a great atmosphere! The place is huge too! We visited last night and ordered the fish and chips and club sandwich. By far, it was one of the best fish and chips I've had! The batter is different than most places and less greasy. They have great salads and an excellent selection of beer. One of our favorite places to hang out on the weekends!
Great beers and nice people!. I love mcnellies! Great people and a fun building that gives Mcnellies a great feel. Not fancy but always fun. Service has been great every time I have been there. I love the homemade food too. Check it out!
Every now and then you just have to go back to the place that you spent a lot of time at years ago. When OKC was starting to grow again and the food scene wasn’t what it is today, especially when it comes to burger joints, McNellies in Midtown was the best spot for a great burger, fries, and your favorite beer! I still think this is that place for a lot of people. The consistency of this place is what makes me love it so much. Great food, memories, and the perfect location. Enjoy!
Great selection of beers from across the world. Lots of cans/bottles and draughts. Great location and friendly servers.
Edit: On my third visit the bartender tried to restrict me from ordering a 4th (high point) beer, the reason unknown. I understand it's the responsibility of bartenders to cut off patrons when they believe they've been over served, but either cut me off completely or serve me what I ordered, I feel like there is no in-between.
I had been wanting to come try this place, and I'm glad I finally got the opportunity. It definitely has an old school pub feel to it, so if that's what you're looking for, this is your place. We tried the Irish Nachos for an appetizer, and I would recommend you try those for sure. I ordered the beef stroganoff and my friends ordered the fish and chips and the cottage pie. The beef stroganoff and cottage pie were ok, but nothing spectacular. I much preferred the taste of the fish and chips. The house salad was enjoyable as it had several veggies, cheese and croutons, plus they had good ranch and honey mustard dressings. I would say, stick to the traditional bar food of burgers and sandwiches. I do recommend their bread pudding and brownie dessert. They were both delicious! Also, we had good service, very helpful and friendly.
Really awesome place with a great location in Midtown! What an awesome pub! Different floors for 21+ and families, which is really nice.
Food is good, it’s what you expect. Nothing phenomenal but it’s good, worth the price and worth the portion. Huge selection of drinks which is awesome! Sit in the right place and you have a great view of downtown and the city.
I really enjoyed my buffalo chicken wrap! Highly recommend, and ask for extra buffalo sauce on the side.
Artichoke dip could use a lot more artichoke. Mainly cream cheese. Tabbouleh wasn’t good. I’m not really gunna go in depth and critique the food to hard. It’s solid. The vibes, staff, and drinks are what you’re coming for. And if you get hungry, you’ll find something!
Fantastic. Wonderful. First time being a guest here. I have eaten at a lot of pubs. By far hands down this is the best.

This is a great pub, with an adult and family section. They serve great cocktails, and have countless beers on tap. The bar staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Pros: Bartenders are attentive and politely ignore my drunken rambling. Enough beer choices to make your head spin. Weekly specials on the Old Fashioned. The spinach artichoke dip is da bomb. Their breakfast is surprisingly good for a pub. Cons: Parking can be limited on Friday and Saturday nights. I blame the broke, degenerate try-hards who use McNellie's free parking and walk over to Sunset Bar.
McNellie's has a fun atmosphere. With three levels, you'll likely find a seat, but they can get really busy. Nice casual spot for food and drinks. Customize the quesidilla!
My boyfriend used to come here when he lived in OKC a few years ago & wanted to stop in to reminisce...., get a few beers. Fun pub w some hilarious decorations if you look around. Their beer selection is impressive to say the least. The server, Rachel, was very helpful & made a special beer I requested without issue. It was pretty low-key on a Friday afternoon, but I bet this place is hopping on a weekend night. FYI, the restrooms are upstairs.
Love this place. Beer selection is out of this world. My corned beef and hash was the best I have ever eaten. Highly recomend coming here.
