Bought churros and a bunch of tamales for my oldest's birthday dinner. They were SO good !!!! Bought enough to last for a bit LOL can't get enough of a good thing.

After my baker canceled on me the morning of my daughters first birthday I came to Elvira’s and desperately asked them if they could make anything at all with zero notice. They were so kind and willing to whip up something. I wasn’t expecting a lot with it being a couple hours notice but they made a beautiful cake that tasted amazing. Thank you so much!
I ordered a custom tres leches cake for my birthday. Absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing!! Will definitely be coming back here and I’ve recommended to my friends/family as well.

I ordered a cake for my granddaughters birthday and it was so beautiful. The flavors were lemon and strawberry. The cake was moist and that is one of main things I look for in a cake. Elvira's is definitely me new spot for cakes and pastries!!
The pastries were so yummy! From sweet breads of all kinds, cookies, to cakes. I felt like a kid in the candy store! They have something for everyone. They were full of people. Looks like a small dinner also. All the smells were AMAZING! Prices were very reasonable. I had to stop myself from getting more! I will defantly be back....next weekend. This could be a dayly treat if I lived closer.
I’ve been getting all my kids’ birthday cakes from here for 3 years. It’s always delicious and fresh. I’ve not had 1 bad experience. They also have a variety of pastries as well.
I hadn’t been in the Northeast KC area in several years. My stepdaughter started a new job in the area and we tried Elvira’s Cakes on Saturday, September 2nd. I bought several kinds of cookies which were all delicious! The Empanadas de Piña were amazing…we loved them. We can hardly wait to go back for more of their delicious high quality products. The prices are very reasonable also. Great place!!!
Great selection of cakes pinatas along with food selections, tamales, burritos and tacos. They also do ice cream, coffee and Mexican bread. Parking can be a little tricky on busy days. Best time to go is during the weekdays. They have large pinatas that are $35 for the big ones and $18 for smaller one's and plenty to choose from. Definitely is a great place to grab a bite to eat or do a little bit of birthday shopping for cakes pinatas. They do have tables and chairs to dine in.
Best Mexican pastries in the northeast area. Food is delicious too. Small parking lot. I hate the shady people lingering around the front of the store.

Food is ALWAYS delicious but today fell short on the avocado slices. If they look this bad, please do not add them to an order. Just saying. Lol
