We've enjoyed going to Bob Evans at the Southport Rd/I-65 Indy location often since they opened decades ago. It's clean (including the restrooms), the food is great, prices are fair, parking is convenient, atmosphere pleasant, menu choices are great and the staff ... the staff are awesome. The staff at the location we go to have been there forever and have become like family. The fact that turnover is very low and the staff work together so well speaks highly of the company.
We stopped in and had breakfast this morning. It looked busy but we got seated right away. Kiki was our server, such a ray of sunshine on this gloomy day! Our food was hot, quick and delicious. Will return again, hope to be in her section when we return. �
Delicious food at a good price. I enjoyed my lemon pepper sole fillet with broccoli and Cole slaw. The slaw was a little old, but the fillet and broccoli were delicious. The banana bread was fantastic, but it came out long after I finished my meal. The place was not busy on an early Friday evening, but the service was still a little slow (I think they may be understaffed). The portion sizes were a little smaller, but sufficient considering the price. If you want a flavorful meal at a good price and have the time this is a good place for dinner.
Food is definitely comfort food. Waitress was very busy and when she came for our order she didn't write down a thing. And it was breakfast so every order had several options. After she walked away we said to each other there's no way she is going to get it right. But she was a pro. Got it all and served it quick. Kept our drinks full and did it all with a smile. We will be back.
Always a pleasure going to Bob Evans in Southport, IN. Incredible service and good food. They are always so friendly there. It might be a chain, but feels like it's local.

I remember the biscuits and gravy being more savory from my youth and Splenda != whatever the little yellow packets were, but it's still a good sit-down breakfast on the relative cheaps. Good service goes a long way.
You have to try their one bowl dinner withe Mac and cheese 🧀 topped with meat and two onion rings. If theirs two of you and your not overly hungry you might want to share or take leftovers home.
The nicest kindest service I've ever had IN MY LIFE came from a server by the name of Mrs Susie. Even if the food isn't that great. Her alone makes the whole experience worth the time, and drive. She makes every customer feel special. Truly a hidden gem and a major asset at this location :)
My first time ever eating at a Bob Evans and I got to say I was impressed my waitress was very friendly and intentive and the food came quick I ordered biscuits and gravy and overall it was good. The place is clean great location off the highway . I guess all I can say is Bob Evans down on the farm
I got the senior, bacon, egg, hash browns and biscuit. My friend got the mini cini donuts (?). Food was hot and tasty, bacon was crisp. However, the biscuit was horrible, I asked if they changed the recipe or what. She said no, and offered a substitute. I declined, she said the manager would be over, but I never saw one. I love their biscuits, but this was inedible. One of the older waitress took care of our table, no complaints with her. We like the atmosphere and seating capabilities, any given day, ordering food here, you take your chances on how it's going to be, all in all we were happy that day. .
My pot roast was excellent. Everyone was happy with their meals and our waitress was pretty awesome..when we get back to Greenwood, In. We will definitely be back!
