Excellent!! My family of 14 will dine at this particular restaurant at least once or twice a year. The service has always been great, and the food is amazing! What a delight it is when we are able to go!!
Love food, love coi pond, love people that's why i go there two times a month
Go during lunch. I have been coming here for years, but only for lunch. It will take a little longer because of the "show", but I have never had bad food or service at lunch time. The fried rice is superb and their secret sauce is excellent with the rice. The terriyaki steak is outstanding and the vegetables and salad are always fresh and crisp.
Entertaining and Fun, But Not Sure It'll Be A Repeat. First impression - well, underwhelming, minus the two cool ponds full of live koi when you walk in the door. Otherwise, the walls, floors, tables, chairs kiiinda remind me of Old Country Buffet, circa 1999.
Our service was great - servers were very happy, friendly, and attentive. Our hibatchi chef (if that's the correct terminology) was nice, playful (but you could tell it was the same routine over and over).
Food was good. Not overwhelmingly AMAZING good, but good. All entrees come with miso soup and a small salad, then the entrees (I had the teriyaki chicken) come with rice and veggies.
Overall, I'd say it was a 3.5/5. Good food, but don't think it's enough to make me a repeat visitor....think I'll be looking to try some other great Indy Japanese spots.
Such a good experience in this place. Our waitress was super attentive and gave us the perfect amount of attention! We’ve done “grill-style” before, so,this time, we sat on the regular restaurant-style side. The only bad thing I’d say is that they didn’t have actual squid/octopus. Besides that, our experience was great! The food was bursting with flavor and I would highly recommend.

The food was tasty, it was my first time to the new location. The hibachi chef was new I think so I watched him and the more seasoned chef at the next table over for the presentation. It was fun. I will return, the steak and shrimp with fried rice was prepared well. I nibbled on but took it home for later. It reheated just fine, yum! The sushi was good it was fried but I had never had raw salmon so it was mind over matter, tasty but the texture isn't for me, next time I'll get something I like instead of just smiling at my sister for a piece lol. What are you waiting for... go try them!!!
One of our favorite places. Hibachi is always a lot of fun and the fried rice is addictive! We also really enjoy the sushi here as well. Never had a bad experience here. Update 3-23-18 they have relocated to a new building that's brand new and beautiful. Much easier to find and much larger. Food is still amazing and it's now much busier than I have seen it before.
Mother’s Day dinner. Sushi and noodles great combo. Service was great and friendly Tammy our waitress was super nice and friendly. Sat in the bar tables we did not have reservations for the hibachi grill but that was fine for us.
Hibachi restaurants always make for a fun night out. This Sapporo is relatively new in the area so my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. The restaurant was very clean and quite large inside and the atmosphere seemed to be more upscale. The chef that came to our table was a typical hibachi chef and they did the "typical hibachi routine" which was fun. The worst part about Sapporo (or most hibachi) is the price; for our 2 entrees and 1 appetizer our bill was a little over $80 with tip. This hibachi place won't be a regular visit for us, but I will most likely return in the future.
The chef was fun and interactive. Food was good. They keep social distance while at the hibachi tables even if there are two small parties at the same grill. The top notch ventilation also made us feel a bit safer with covid. Honestly this was such a "normal" experience and being able to sit at the same grill (while distancing) with other people made us forget about everything going on right now. It was refreshing.
Absolutely love it! Food is always great and the place overall is very clean.
This place is usually good, and wasn't bad this time but we had a new chef and he didn't season anything. But still good service and experience.
Everything we had was pretty tasty. Pricey but that's every Japanese Restaurant that I have been to. It was worth it.
The food was delicious. I loved the salad dressing. I even ordered a quart to take home. The soup delicious. The entire meal was great. The service was wonderful. This was my first Visit. I will return.
