Ashley was our server as well as the bartender the night we stopped in. We ordered from the happy hour apps menu and found everything to be very good. The beer was good and cold on draft. Ashley always had a smile and checked on us often. Because of her service we will be back again.
After spending several days trying to get good fish, finally found it here.
Jane, the waitress, was great with suggestions even with her constantly hopping between tables.
There was a spot for younger kids (or older kids) to stay entertained waiting for food.
And last but certainly not least, the food was amazing.
We got hush puppies and they were on point and the honey butter was to die for.
Dinner was the trigger fish melt and trigger fish plate. Both were amazing, cooked well and the portions were so large we didn’t even finish everything.
Will recommend and come back next visit.
Busy night! Typed in our number wrong. Waited over an hour. Finally checked and they got us a table quickly! Food was hot when served! Nice portions! Food was good. The soft drinks were a little on the watered down side and flat. I love my Diet Pepsi with a meal but not up to par tonight! Great atmosphere. Music on the patio tonight!
Had the shrimp and grits and they were well prepared, great flavor, plenty of shrimp, nice flavor profile. Had the beer cheese appetizer and was not impressed. Did not care for the 7 or 8 tv sets draped all over the dining room walls. Nice place, good food.
Tried blackened trigger fish. Mild tasting white fish. Also fish and chips. Pictures will show the food. Jane was friendly, courteous and attentive. Thank you Jane.
My favorite place on Hilton Head Island to eat. Waiting can be long but they make you comfy while you wait. The outdoor area has plenty of seating and music. I eat at Captain Woody’s every time I am in town. The service is always good. The restaurant is always clean. I’m excited to see their upcoming new location on my next visit.
Bus lady told us that it’s the best restaurant in town so we walked in right away as we saw it. He crab soup is highly recommended and the garlic bread comes with my pasta was great too. We do enjoy our dinner here
Forgot to take food pics 😕. The food was great though! We love this place and always come here when in HHI! Happy hour is amazing with some great selections. We ordered all three shrimp items from the happy hour menu. We also ordered chicken tenders “buffalo style” with the same breading as the buffalo shrimp. I mixed the buffalo sauce with the house-made honey mustard and it was amazing! The staff are wonderful and so friendly. It was a party!
The shrimp basket was served hot and fast. The clam chowder tasted great but was served warm. It should have been warmer. The only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating was the initial service. We came in and were immediately seated. After waiting 16 minutes, I had to get up and ask the hostess if we could get a waitress to take our order. Another waitress that wasn't assigned to o u r table came over and helped us.

Everything was delicious and large portions. Service was excellent and drinks were amazing. We had calimari and shrimp boil and greets. We will be back.
