I think this is the place to be! They have the best burgers on the island or so that is what I was told and the fresh foods are a real change from all the pre made foods you would get. The chips are made to order as is everything they serve , they are to die for LOL. So come one come all and join us for some great food. At STRANDED CORNER

A really nice little local place right on the Strand. Very friendly staff and great fresh food. Both the fresh cut fries and chips are delicious and everything is cooked to order. The burger was tasty and the portions were just right. We really wanted to try to deep fried mac and cheese but they were sold out, but we tried the fried pepperoni bites which were awesome. Prices are appropriately priced and I would highly recommend you stop by and give them a try!
This place is a hidden gem in Galveston on Strand St. My wife and I were in Galveston for an event and stumbled across this place. It was wonderful in so many ways. The chef helped us understand the menu and suggested a few things. The pepperoni poppers were awesome. We had never hand anything like them. We could have just kept eating them forever. I got the corn dog, which at $6.95 seem high, but the thing was HUGE and I could barely eat the whole thing. It was the best corn dog I had ever eaten and worth the price (and more). My wife had a burger which was also very good. The chef was enjoyable to talk with and he enjoyed us eating his food as much as we liked eating it. This is a "must go" place for your trip to Galveston.
This place is one of those tucked away places you might miss even after walking down the Strand several times. Sooooo glad we stumbled upon it for a light lunch. Although we didn't get to try the fried mac and cheese balls as they were sold out we substituted for the fried pepperoni bites and were not disappointed. Club sandwich big enough for 2 people and man those fresh made chips were delicious.

Food is pretty good no doubt about that but there are some issues. The lunch prices are a bit high for me but others may see differently. The main problem I have with this place is from an experience I had here where either styrofoam cup, the ice, the drink fountain or both were dirty as several "unidentifiables" were floating inside my cup. Looking up the places demerits from Galveston County Health Department online seem to suggest theyve had issues with "approved water sources" so maybe it was the ice. Either way I wont get a drink here. Food is still good and i havent had an issue with that.
Everything we tried was SO good. A few locals walked out while we were about to order, telling us about how everything was fresh and homemade. The pepperoni poppers were our favorite, too bad we live so far away or we'd be regulars!
Everything that I have gotten here is great. Pepperoni poppers are incredible. Lots of fried food, but if that's what you are looking for this is the place
This is a truly hidden delight on The Strand. Went there yesterday. Had flounder po boys with fries. FRESH! LOCAL! Cooked fresh to order. Cold beer.
We ordered burgers and fries and they were great. Plus free refill on your sodas. How can you beat that.
