Steak N Shake, in my opinion, is one of the best food deals going. No its not ready when you get there and no, it's not a 5 star dining room. What it is is a clean, comfortable, cute dining room and good food at a good price. Yes the staff isn't 100% all the time but most of the time they are above average. It is somewhat like me, imperfect, but trying to be so close as we can get. Overall, again in my opinion, is the best value for a sit-down restaurant in Cleveland.
This is is first time I have eaten inside this location since moving to Cleveland. I was unaware that orders are now taken at the register but the staff was very kind and explained their new process to me. My food was excellent but what stuck out to me the most was that their managers were working front and center with their employees. A manager took my order, refilled my drink, and provided me with a bag for my leftovers. They were all more than pleasant and very cheerful. I applaud this location and their managers for working alongside the employees so that they were not overloaded. I was so impressed that as soon as I returned to my car I immediately pulled up Google to leave this review. Thank you for the wonderful food and service, I will most definitely return!
I remember when this business opened. I was so glad that they opened here in this town. This Restaurant is always clean and the bathrooms too. And the employees are friendly. The food is always fresh and always hot when it gets to the table. The servings and the price is always fair. You got to have a famous shake to drink there or carry out.
The food was ok but like most places it's suffered since the Covid pandemic. No more waitresses. You order and pick up at the counter. That's all ok but it takes away from the Steak 'n Shake of yesteryear.
Great strawberry shake and love their burgers! Those shoestring fries are good, too. But whoever the lady was that served through the drivethrough on Friday night, Feb. 11th 2022 deserves a raise or a bonus or something. She was so awesome even though the lines was massive bc of a wreck. Thank you for being wonderful!!
