Damn that's good. Wait in line. It's worth it.
First-timers. Took hubby for a "food tour" last spring for his birthday & so glad we made it here! Hands down the world's greatest gyro! Made a believer out of me!
Best Gyro Ever. The lines are long but it is the best gyro you will ever have. Can't wait to go back.
Gyro almost as big as my head. Usually long lines for a good Cleveland Gyro, defiantly not near as good as what I have had in Greece and Turkey, but good for local standards. The ladies working behind the counter are very friendly and nice. At the time of this review regular $8 and large $10 I had the regular with at least a pound or more of meat on it. I had to eat at least half the meat off buy itself before I could get it down to a size I could manage.
Waited a half hour. Worth the wait. It was so freaking good!!!! Awesome!
The VERY best gyro you will find. Well worth any wait!
Just incredible. Get there early, but even if you have to wait they're worth it. the regular size is plenty big. perfectly spiced, juicy, yet crispy meat, warm pitas, and perfect tangy sauce to go on top. cash only, too.
Amazing. I'm a huge gyro fanatic and a major foodie in general, when I tried this gyro for the first time a couple months ago I had what was not only the best gyro I've ever had, but one of the best things I've ever had period. Since it was my first time and I pretty much never go to Cleveland, I went for the jumbo and this lady hooked this thing up. Had to be at least 3 pounds of gyro there. And when it came time to eat, I was in rare form. I dug into that thing like a beast, but it never seemed to end. Everything on it was great, the pita was hot and buttery, the meat and juicy and flavorful, the tzatziki was tangy and spicy. Eventually I ran out of pita and just had pretty much a handful of meat and sauce wrapped in foil, but I didn't care how crazed I looked, I just kept going. I went early so the wait wasn't too bad at all, but even if it was an hour long it would be worth it. Simply incredible.
Get there early, or you will stand in line for 20-30 minutes. Its located inside the Westside Market in historical, Cleveland. The portion is huge, so trying for the double is just not worth it. The gyro is very affordable and filled with lots of good tasting meat and ingredients. The service was friendly as well. This foodstand was featured on "Man V. Food" on the Travel Channel, starring Adam Richman. Overall, I give it an 8 out of 10.
This place is delicious! Have you ever held happiness? It's because you haven't been to Steve's Gyros yet.
We visited the West Side Market and were promptly advised that this is what Cleveland tastes like. ♥️
The gyros start at $9 and can easily fill two people! When your 12 year old tells you that it's too big... That's big.
Oh, yeah -- Bring cash - they don't accept cards.
The website said this was the must-try food in Cleveland. The gyro tasted authentic and delicious with a huge portion. The girl was a little impolite because I was not carrying any cash and it was cash only.
The best gyros I have ever had. And I did not like gyros before this.
Delicious gyros in a fantastic market setting. Loved the atmosphere as much as the food.
Best Gyros in the world! I've been going to Steve's for over 13 years now, great food and worth the wait.
Make it to Cleveland seldom, but always enjoy visiting the West Side Market. I have wanted to try Steve's Gyros for awhile, but it never worked out till my latest visit.
I was initially surprised to not see them cutting the meat off the cone, but the Gyro sandwich I got was fantastic! The sauce is unique from any other place. Great flavor addition to a beloved condiment. I also really liked the way they layered it. Sauce right on pita, veggies (lettuce, onion and tomato) next then the meat. I can't imagine ever making it another way now. This really brought the flavors together and prevented the toppings from falling off.
If you like gyro sandwiches, try Steve's!
Was visiting Cleveland a couple weeks ago and hands down best gyro I have ever had!!!
If you find this review helpful, please like it below. We were excited to visit West Side Market and thrilled to find Steve's Gyros. You may have to wait in line for a bit but go for. $9 later and you'll have a gyro you'll love. Their sauce is special and takes it over the top. Tons of meat on the regular so I don't think you need to get extra meat option.
Best gyros I've ever eaten, when I first went to Steve's he had the smallest stand in Westside market, my kids were in a stroller, they are 36 and 37 now, I consider it one the best gyros places in the country, when you go to Steve's it's a homemade gyros stand, everything is homemade, from the gyros to the sauce to the bread, and the servings are generous. I've been to gyros places around the country and none have compared to Steve's 😀😃😄😁👌👍😋p.s. get there early they sell out daily( before 2)👍👍👍
Best Gyro I’ve tasted, second time here and I need to try to get on this side of town more often
