We visited Dairy Queen for a little afternoon ice cream treat. We were waited on as quickly as possible. The ice cream was good, not the best, but good. Since it was fairly warm we were able to sit outside.
We went specifically for the chicken meals and milkshakes. They were sold out of chicken. My son was very disappointed. I ordered a chocolate shake and the soft pretzels for him as consolation and to hold him until we could get to another fast food restaurant so he could get an actual meal. The initial young lady that walked up to the register never spoke to us. I think she may have been clocking out for break or something (she was doing something with the register, but didn't acknowledge us). The next young lady finally asked for our order, but didn't apologize for the wait (she was there while the other young lady did whatever with the register). She was friendly though. I was gracious with the number of stars I gave because sometimes people and places have bad days and I don't want to rip a place apart unless they are just plain awful.
Delicious frozen treats. Staff is friendly. Wanted to add to my review because I was so happy that Dairy Queen staff came through today with a birthday cake. I thought I ordered it and this is not their fault but the website to order DQ cakes is not the greatest so when I got to submit page I did not realize I had another step as I was on a page that looked like a confirmation page for the order and since it said pay at pickup I thought I was done. Granted there is a disclaimer at the top and I should have verified in my email but it was crunch time for the party and there was lot on my plate so I missed this step. Anyway, since I did not actually order the cake the staff did fit it in the day and we were able to have the cake in time for the party anyway The cake came out absolutely perfect and was delightful to eat. Very happy customer and I really appreciated that this was done for us today so thank you
Worth the wait. Yes it's a difficult location to get and out of. What do you expect it's right on Mayfield!

While you are waiting to get to the drive thru figure out what you want. If you can't decide, you can't go wrong with a blizzard!
The birthday cake was beautiful who ever did the decoration yesterday did a great job. It wasn't on time I had to wait for it to be finished so it melted shortly after.
My milkshakes are are always perfect at DQ. Drive thru is fast.
The ice cream and service were amazing. I ordered a banana split and it was to die for . The staff was great as well.

I ordered a large Chocolate Blizzard with Heath Bar candy to share with my wife. It cost 7.49 and would normally be a 5 star treat worthy of the cost. However, it was a bit disappointing this time. It was over mixed with a lot less candy in it. We like it chunky, but it was ground up too fine which made us wonder if there was even any candy in it. It is normally still mostly solid by the time we drive home, but this time it was "soupy". We were definitely disappointed.
The only reason for the atmosphere being a 3 is because we were halfway done eating ice cream inside the lobby, and then someone wanted to say it's closed. But you seen us in there sitting for 15 minutes prior to saying something.
