I've been going here regularly since it opened and the food and service are always really good. I also think the decor is pleasant, and the front-room art work is often really interesting. To top it off, the portions are on the large size and the prices are very reasonable. I usually get the basil fried rice, the sweet potato tempura fries and/or the papaya salad, and i've never been disappointed. I like that they have things you can't readily find at other restaurants. I have tried a couple cocktails and they were also really yummy! They've always accommodated me with substituting ingredients and with sharing plates with others. I find the service to be prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, but not overly attentive. I usually see the owner going table-to-table, asking how people's experience is. The only negative i have experienced is that the acoustics aren't so good, and so it can get overly noisy sometimes.
We went today for Happy hour with a small group. Great selection of apps and Signature Cocktails. Very generous portions. We had the Pad Thai and it was wonderful. Very attentive service and friendly atmosphere. We used to eat regularly at the owner's mother's restaurant in Lakewood and are happy to see her tasty recipes survived. We will definitely be Ba`c!
Amazing service and food. Went there on a quiet week night when they were obviously short staffed. Our waiter was also bussing tables, answering phones, bartending, and seating guests. He warned us that drinks would be take a while. But everything was worth it. The drinks came out late, but he had warned us and they were delicious so it didn't matter. The food came out in a decent amount of time and was phenomenal. Especially the honey walnut shrimp. And after all was said and done, someone came out of the kitchen and brought us a dessert of fried ice cream and told us thanks for being so patient. No, BAC, thank YOU for the amazing service under the pressure. Definitely would recommend to others.
Cool little place with good food. Enjoyed the experience, but left scratching my a head a little about the menu. Seems to have a little of this and a little of that but no real identity. Not sure how I would describe the menu to someone interested in going.
Pho, Bun, Chinese, Curry, Saki.....
Also, the portion sizes were a little odd. Most were of suitable size, but for whatever reason the Pad Thai and Kim Chi were 3x the standard items. Good I suppose but confusing.
FANTASTIC cocktails, and delicious food. It's like your neighborhood Chinese spot opened a nice sit-down restaurant. Got the orange chicken, was bomb, Lil bit on the sweet side but it was still bomb. AWESOME cocktails. Eating the crab cakes was like eating fluffy kitten hair mixed with cotton candy and exstacy (in a good way). Also, the cocktails were pretty tasty. A+ 12/10 "American Asian" (that is not a thing, that does not exist, nope, not a chance) ALSO had quick, timely service, so I'm not sure what everyone else on here was talking about.
One of very few places in Cleveland to enjoy authentic Vietnamese food, as well as a great selection of appetizers and larger noodle and curry & rice dishes. I love the bento box selections if I'm feeling indecisive (always!) and I usually leave with some food left over for lunch the next day. Bar has a fantastic selection of beer, and I love the coffee served here too.
BAC has a great menu. It's basically Asian, but with a wonderful twist. The food is delicious the presentation is enticing and the service is friendly and knowledgeable.
Oh and the is a limited, but well varied beer selection. And a full sake selection.
One of my favorite restaurants in Tremont. We live in the neighborhood and always take out of town guests here. The food is great, ingredients fresh, quality and service consistent, and all reasonably priced.
Loved the food, lots of items on the menu I would try. The only bad part was the service. Given the 45 minute wait for the dining room (apparently you should make reservations!) we decided to eat at a table in the bar room. This meant the bar tender was our waiter, thus quite a long wait sometimes.
Bac is the best. Fresh, authentic flavors, and he brings his whole family's history to the menu. Plus, the prices are totally reasonable, good portions, great dessert. It's a weekly staple.
