Our go-to place for Mexican. The food is always superb, the service excellent, and the drinks generous. A great littl place! Why would anyone go to a chain restaurant with this here!
I love this place. Went there many times starting in the 80’s. On my birthday with my parents, with friends and girlfriends, this was worth the crosstown drive from the Heights.
Just went back for the first time in over 30 years after moving back from California and Luchita’s is still the same dependable Mexican restaurant I remember. Only difference is now I like spicier food! Can you help me out there, Luchita’s?

Great food, decent atmosphere, decent service. Don’t let the rundown storefront fool you. The interior is better. If you want authentic Mexican food and a good drink, this place is perfect!
Gets busy and crowded on weekend nights, so get there early. Amazing chill spot for lunch because it’s not busy. Good vegetarian options. Service was slow because they’re short staffed after quarantine, which is understandable, so get ready to be patient.
Delicious food, great service and unique setting. Guessing this is a local favorite. Would definitely visit again!!
Coming here years… the best comfort Mexican food, great service, I love love love it here. I have yet to find a Mexican restaurant on par… their mole is da bomb. The place is always busy and buzzing so obviously people come for amazing food, 40 years open and same chief from Mexico for 20 years or more so no wonder their food is consistently good. Their salsa tastes sooo fresh. Not sure where few low stars come from… but I wouldn’t take notice…
Luchita's is great. I stopped by last Friday, got some shrimp tacos and a chicken burrito to go. Had a margarita while I was waiting. Really like the food here. Service is great as well. Fun place to people watch as well. Bar was pretty full when I walked in but my margarita didn't take long. Neither was the wait for my to go food. I'd suggest trying anything on the menu. Great place!
Wow! This place is amazing! I've passed by here a hundred times and never stopped but I'm glad I did today! Service was nice, friendly staff. Drinks were strong😁 and the food was delicious! Nice size portions also! My girlfriend, son and I all found the food amazing!! Will definitely be coming back!

As a self-proclaimed Mexican cuisine and Margarita enthusiast, I have to say that this by far is the best Mexican restaurant in the Cleveland area that I have been to yet. Their salsa is thin in consistency (typical Mexican restaurant fare) yet absolutely amazing in taste!!! To say the staff is friendly would be an understatement - the server was gushing with excitement and pride when she brought us our food! And I understand why- everything was absolutely delicious. Every employee is eager to help with whatever you may need... never once felt like I was bothering them for asking for a cup of water or anything (if they didn't already anticipate the need!)
Their margaritas are true to he original margarita recipe- 5 ingredients: tequila, lime, orange liquor, ice, rock salt. Delicious.
Overall- this place is DEFINITELY worth checking out. We will be back again... and again... and again!!!!
Excellent food but bad wait time. We went there on a Saturday at 5 pm. They bring complimentary chips in a tiny salad bowl and when asked if there was a milder sauce, (as this was way too hot) the waitress said, "No, not tonight" ... hello why not on a "prime time" Saturday night. We were seared in the front dining room. Soon, there must have been 50 people in almost a standing room only fashion, awaiting a table. Unfortunately that meant meant many people were standing right next to out table as we were eating, some even starting conversation with us. To me, I felt very uncomfortable. I understand they've been there for over 30 years. With the food being so good, why not expand to a larger building. U would go back, but maybe for lunch on a week day, or a Thursday around 4 pm.
The food is great! I have been going here since the mid eighties and the quality of the food has always been consistently good. The margaritas are tasty and the beer is icy cold. Great service, friendly waitresses. Go there!
