Handy to the hotel we were visiting for a conference, Urban Farmer ticked the boxes for a mid-range lunch / brunch option, and a smart-casual dining experience in the evening. A large restaurant humming to capacity, our servers were typically friendly, more attentive during lunch than when we visited on the evening. Food was great, plenty of choices, well-seasoned throughout. I had king salmon which was cooked to perfection, nice crisp skin. Duck & rabbit perogi were a good choice to start, but the real star was the side dish Fingerling Potato Tart with cheddar and bacon - comfort food heaven!
You normally expect meritocracy from a restaurant located inside a hotel, but the Urban Farmer really does deserve its title of being Cleveland's Steakhouse. We visited after a late arrival to downtown Cleveland, and there wasn't that many food options within walking distance near our hotel. The food and service were perfect, especially after a long day of travel. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, the Caesar salad was crisp and topped with fresh sardines, and all the sides to compliment the meal was well made. The restaurant is well decorated and has many seating areas to accommodate parties of all sizes. The bar was quite hopping the night we visited. There is valet parking available, but since we've walked to the restaurant, we can't really comment on the parking situation.
Decent place a bit pricey buy very good steak very tender melts in mouth. Desert trio was great chocolate lasagna was amazing. Total bill for 2 was $100 and we ordered about the lowest priced meals available. Very good for large groups nice large tables.
Had a really great evening here. The atmosphere is nice, the wine and spirit list was extensive, and the food was great. Only reason for not being 5 stars was our server lacked a bit of attentiveness. We clearly said we were going to have wine with dinner but she didn't come back to ask what we wanted until we had our steaks for 5 minutes. The cheese cart is cool.
I had an awesome breakfast! The home made English muffins are fantastically great. My eggs were perfectly cooked and the bacon was delicious. I did try the cherry sausage pictured here; it wasn't for me. 🤷♀️ However, I'm sure there are those of you out there who may enjoy it. 😊
On the ground floor of the Westin hotel in the heart of downtown, unless you're a guest at the hotel or another one nearby parking can be a challenge even on a Sunday morning. Beyond that, this a hip, trendy joint with modern decor and nice patio seating, weather permitting, of course. The weekend brunch menu is rich even if a bit pricey and the service is professional and pleasant.
Forgive the middle school vernacular, but Urban Farmer is really, really, really, really good. I sat and contemplated what it takes to do something at an extreme level of excellence and competence whilst eating here. Because it is that inspirational. We were there early, but a table for 20 walked in behind us, putting the staff on high alert.
I could go on, but lastly, I added the blue cheese to my steak, and a half hour later I am still relishing the experience.
Pricey, but worth it.

Creative mash potatoes - it came as some sort of pie and very good candidate bacon
Also a very knowledgeable and patient waiter.
This place is not cheap. But worth it.

We had dinner here it was great. I think this is supposed to be a slower based semi fine dining experience. Many people came to our table during our dining experience but they also gave us alot of room to talk and enjoy ourselves. This isnt supposed to be a quick dining experience which i think some people have intrperted in the reviews as bad service. That wasnt my experience at all. I recomend ordering the steaks that are ohio based we has the 24 oz ribeye which was more then sharable and it was great. We ordered the mac and cheese which was great and the mushrooms which where perfectly seasoned. Please whatever you do ask for corn bread its some of the best I've ever eatten. If i could just get cornbread take out i might be at this place a couple times a week they bake it in tin cans and its almost cake like. We had the pretzel banana beneigts for desert and they were lovely its the only thing i didn't get a picture of during out visit. My only minor complaint about being there was that they dont have steak knifes at a steak house. That being said you can cut there steaks with a butter knife. However, things are just easier and more precise with the right utensils.
I'm in love with this restaurant. I decided to take my sister here for her birthday breakfast and couldn't have been more pleased. The cuisine is to die for. We had the "Honey Biscuit" & Strawberry Shortcake n Cream Donuts. I will definitely return on my next trip home.
