It takes a long time to get your food but I don't mind the wait because when the food comes out, it's hot and fresh. I hope I get the same server I just had because he was really good. I'll go back but I really hope they never disappoint point me. All it takes is 1 time to disappoint me and I'll never go back. I do have 1 complaint, when they clean off the tables, they need to do the seats as well, my daughter sat in a wet seat.
Great service and food. Love the chili mac. Shakes are great also.

I hadn't been to Steak n Shake in a long, long time, and got a little curious recently. I know that they smash/flatten the burger patties on the griddle, which is the opposite of the way I prefer to let burgers cook - untouched to seal in the juices - but I was was out late one night and it was between them and White Castle and SnS prevailed. I stopped in and ordered a double steakburger with extra cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, and tomato
I have to say this - I did like being able to watch the grillman and the sandwich assembler do their thing, but I did wince repeatedly as I saw my burger smashed down and flattened over and over again on the hot griddle.
I figured there'd be no juice left - just a set of two dry-as-a-desert hockey pucks
I was wrong. I did not think it'd be remotely possible, but his was one of the juicier burgers I have had of late, and dare I say it - currently among my favorites here in Cincinnati.
One quibble - and this is because it was so juicy - the very lightly toasted bun was not up to the challenge of holding this burger together, and it quickly fell apart. I will have to task for a double toasted bun next time and see if that helps maintain the structural integrity a bit better
Overall - I strongly recommend this burger
Many reviews I've seen for this location have slammed the service but that WAS NOT our experience. I've been coming here for years and always been delighted with the service. Very friendly and helpful service.
We've started to like going to steak n shake as a family. The food is great at a great value! We didn't get her name, but the nice lady working the drive through at 3:30pm on Dec 6, 2023 was such a joy to interact with. Have a blessed day and Merry Christmas!
Cruising down Ridge Road on a Saturday with my daughter looking for a place to eat lunch, drove right past the Steak and Shake, made a couple quick right turns circled back, walked inside the Steak and Shake, it was nice and cool inside but you had to order on a kiosk if my daughter was not there I would have been in trouble, she she had no trouble with the kiosk, I got double steak burger with cheese lettuce mayonnaise pickles! My daughter got the grilled cheese meal with a Sprite, the food was made fresh and tasted good, there was not a lot of people there so the atmosphere was quiet, the only negative thing for me was I don't like the little tiny french fries, they get cold too fast! But the steak burger rocked! And my daughter enjoyed the grilled cheese.
I was impressed. We ordered dine in. Our order was nice and hot and everything was made correctly. Service was fast and accurate. Employees were friendly and just on top of it. We will definitely be coming back!
Last one in the city I believe so I had to drop in for a garlic burger. It has always been one of my favorite burgers. I enthusiastically recommend it. Skinny fries were fresh, hot and tasty. I went through the drive thru so I'm assuming the dining room was clean and well lit. Gonna miss them when they're finally gone hope it's not too soon. Thumbs High! 👍

Friendly, fast service. Food was delicious and toppings were generous. Fries were hot and fresh. I was worried when we got here at dinner time and there was only one other couple here. But I was pleasantly surprised! Order on kiosk if paying credit. Dining room and bathrooms clean.

Loved the shake and fries were also very good. We enjoyed the burgers but there was no bacon on my bacon cheeseburger.
Under new management! The owner came up to personally introduce himself! My kids loved the food and definitely gave it 2 thumbs up!!!!!
