I recently started working in the area and this is my new staple lunch spot. Not only is the food hot fresh and fantastic but the atmosphere and service is top notch. The staff is so caring ,sweet and kind. Many have been there for years and years. This is a spot now you will find me at weekly for lunch.
Me and my wife wanted to eat a Gyro but we were to far away from the Clifton so I suggested we find a place near by and I got to say not bad at all. It's got that old school dinner feel to it. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on our every needs with that small town charm. The Gyro was good although the meat was cut a lil thinner than I would like but they give you plenty of it and the fries was good too. Nice place to eat for something quick tasty and different with a touch charm. It was what we were looking for. Try it out.
We've lived in the Cincinnati area almost 25 years and have been looking for a go to spot for our gyro fix ever since. Mission Accomplished!
Fast, super friendly service, even at early lunch rush.
Gyro served hot right off the grill and the fries right out of the fryer (be careful, lol).
The Tzatziki is possibly the best I've ever had outside of my own kitchen. Even the feta is good.
Ok, so the fries are crinkle cut but they are cooked perfectly and you get to season them to taste at the table.

Great lunch spot, the dining room was full and had to sit outside. Fortunately there was great weather and made for a great experience. Plenty of food for the price and served quickly. Must wear a mask before sitting down to eat. Socially distanced. Street entrance is where you enter and the side door is where you exit to avoid contact. Highly recommend the Classic Gyro!

Old school diner feel! Super Gyro was awesome. I've been before but the Super Gyro (feta cheese) really was a difference maker. Great service! I admittedly had to wait for carry out, the staff was very upfront about the timing, so worth the wait!
This place is great! My family has been eating there for years. The food is always hot and cooked right in front of you. I’ve always had my order correct. The servers are super friendly.
The menu is just right for a lunch diner. Plenty of options but not overwhelming. The burgers are very reasonably priced and their gyros are too. They are only open for lunch so check the times before you go. And they’re not open on the weekends, but I wish they were! Seating is also limited so get there early or eat a late lunch.
My wife and I love going here for lunch at the Athenian, they have great food. But more than that the service is impeccable. Never a bad experience!!
First time at the restaurant. The service and food were excellent, the prices were competitive and we were offered free samples of menu items. We're definitely going back!
First time...gyro was fabulous! Great hot fries. Patty melt was missing thousand island dressing, but cooked well. Coleslaw was sweet and creamy! Will definitely go again!
If you like gyros, or grilled sandwiches, stop here. They are fantastic.
It's old and small, but most people would call that "cozy" the food is fantastic and the staff very friendly. Both of those alone make up for any atmospheric shortcomings.
