Visiting Cincinnati for the holiday and we ended up at this Cafe. It is super cute on the inside and pretty packed when we got there. You are able to reserve your spot online which was a great feature since we are staying within walking distance. Drinks were great amd food was good. A lot of vegan and even gluten free options on the menu! Definitely recommend if you are in Cincinnati!
Title: A Cozy Haven for Coffee and Brunch Lovers
Rating: ★★★★☆
Review:
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sleepy Bee Cafe, and I must say, it left quite an impression on me. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
The first thing that caught my attention was the charming decor. The rustic wooden furniture, cozy seating areas, and vibrant pops of color created a delightful ambiance that instantly put me at ease. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal.
Speaking of meals, the menu at Sleepy Bee Cafe is a true culinary delight. They offer a wide variety of breakfast and brunch options that cater to all tastes and dietary preferences. Whether you're a fan of classic breakfast favorites like eggs and bacon or prefer a healthier choice like avocado toast, they have something for everyone. Their commitment to using fresh and locally sourced ingredients is evident in the quality and taste of their dishes.
During my visit, I opted for their famous Bee Cakes, and I was not disappointed. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and bursting with flavor. The generous portion size was just an added bonus. Accompanied by a cup of their rich and aromatic coffee, it was the perfect start to my day.
The staff at Sleepy Bee Cafe deserves a special mention as well. From the moment I walked in, they were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than happy to provide recommendations and ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional.
The only reason I didn't give Sleepy Bee Cafe a perfect five-star rating is because of the wait time. It can get quite busy, especially during peak hours, so be prepared to wait for a table. However, I must say that the wait is well worth it once you taste their delectable offerings.
In conclusion, Sleepy Bee Cafe is a hidden gem that should not be missed. It's the perfect place to enjoy a cozy breakfast or brunch with friends and family. With its inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff, it's no wonder why it's a favorite among locals and visitors alike. I highly recommend giving Sleepy Bee Cafe a try – you won't be disappointed.
The pancakes were really fluffy and the sausage were huge! The sandwich I can't complain about though it wasn't what I ordered (they did make it right so huge plus). The potatoes were AMAZING. Whatever sauce that was on them was great.
I was visiting from Texas with my mom to tour apartments since I’ll be moving to the area soon, and we happened to see this cafe after going to church so we decided to stop in! The servers were all very sweet and fast with their orders and requests. The pancakes were amazing! We got the blue cakes and chorizo eggs along with the pumpkin coffee. Only complaint was that the coffee wasn’t as sweet as I thought and the portions of the egg and fruit side were smaller than I thought but definitely filled me up. The atmosphere is very cozy and brunch-like, 10/10 recommend I’d definitely come back!😊
First time here. I went as it got good reviews on Google maps and it was a good choice. I will most definitely be visiting again. I had the 'Avi' and it was excellent. Great service. Very nice bright atmosphere. I get the impression that it's a local favorite.
The food is excellent. It is the value that leaves me to give 4 stars - a little elevated prices for what is received. The AVI Scramble and cup of coffee is over $20 with tip.
I’m a beekeeper. This is a bee themed cafe. It’s incredible. I sat at the bar and had a very helpful lady direct me around the menu. I got a hot chai that was absolutely wonderful and also the piggy pancakes. Pancakes cooked in bacon grease with bacon on the inside with candied pecans on top. Absolutely killer btw. I didn’t know how large the meal would be so I should have only got one flap instead of two but still amazing food. The interior decor is adorable. I wish I could take my beekeeping club up to Cincinnati just to show them the spot and also drop off some of the paintings I have. Totally a great place to take mom.
Also a bonus for their highlights on sustainability and assisting our pollinators. It’s great to highlight how important they are.
Made a point to make it out here for breakfast. Staff was great and the food was amazing. Couple that with really good coffee and espresso. Hope to make it back next time we are in town.
I’m in Cincinnati for a family fun event. I was going to go to a restaurant we also have in Maryland but decided to try something different. I’m so glad I did. Great food, service and atmosphere ❣️
I am so glad we chose to eat at Sleepy Bee while I visited my loved ones in Cincinnati! One of them is a vegetarian, so we wanted a place with decent variety beyond just salads as meat-free options-- Sleepy Bee did not disappoint! The ambiance was comfy-chic, service was incredibly nice, too! Several hosts ended up helping our table... I don't think we ever met our official server because they were so busy, even on a Monday morning!
We ordered two scrambles, The Avi and The Chorizo, a breakfast sandwich called the Queen City Bee with house-made goetta, and bottomless coffee. It was a super-satisfying brunch! Very fresh and all of the eggs were cooked to perfection. Coffee was freshly brewed and had a beautiful sheen to the top, so you know the beans are roasted well!
I hope to go back and try more of their menu when I visit again!
