Best dessert in Charlottesville, also a contender for best iced coffee. All of the flavors are made in house and use tons of local ingredients, and the care and attention to detail shows in every bite. You won't get gelato this good anywhere else. Pro tip: it's not on the menu, but their milkshakes are amazing, though I have to limit myself to one like every three months.

My only explanation for the incredible concoctions that come out of this place is that PK must be magic. Ten points to Gryffindor for these fantastic gelato feats! She's also a pro baker (be sure to stop in for her annual bakery pop-up in the winter) and the hot chocolate and espresso drinks are the best in town. You can't go wrong with Splendoras!
