Just discovered this little gem of a local family run Italian restaurant. Classic mom and pop Italian food for a reasonable price. My first time there and will come back. Learned that this place has been around since 1971 and the father had passed away 7 months ago but his daughter has continued on. We had a large party of 22 and they set us up at two long tables. The staff was very friendly and handled the large group with ease. Never once did I have to ask for a drink refill as they were on top of it. The minestrone soup was good and the pasta was also good. Portions were decent and the prices were very reasonable. What was a real surprise and treat was their pizza. Growing up in Chicago, I have missed the traditional taste of a thin crust Chicago pizza. The sweetness of the sauce and the crust brought back memories of all the great neighborhood pizza places I grew up with in Chicago. If your looking for a real traditional thin crust Chicago pizza, try Caruso's! We will be back for more!!
A great, family owned local spot. Prices are great. The pizza is one of the best in town! Manicotti is great. Homemade sauce. Eat local!!
I love the food and the people here! The veal parmigiana is my favorite! Husband likes the spaghetti and meatballs and the manicotti. Never got bad food here. Ever.
Great food and service. Have been eating at this restaurant since 1983 the only things that have changed are the employees, prices and the carpet. .. The food has always been great rustic Italian fare... same as I grew up on... try it you will love it
Loved the ambience. Great place for date night. Minestrone was very good.
How do you know what cat food tastes like? We've also been fortunate to find this little restaurant, we've been coming in for the past couple years. my favorite is the roast beef plus i would rather support my local business than a chain restaurant!
I disagree the pizza is one of my favorites I've been eating there since I was a kid and it hasn't changed a bit! it's a casual homey environment!
Magnificent Pizza. Best pizza and chicken Parmesan we have found in Albuquerque. Casual welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. We moved here from Chicago three years ago and have finally found the real at home Feeling of a Chicago family restaurant. We will be regulars.
Nice people and the decor is like going back in time. Average pizza and no beer.
Our kids grew up going to this little restaurant. Fortunately it hasn't changed! We had gotten away from going there and recently rediscovered it! The pasta dishes are basic but delicious. The pizzas Are still crisp and delightful. The manicotti remains my favorite.
Constantly Good. Caruso's can easily fly under the radar as it sits in a strip mall however, if you pass it by, that will definatly be your loss! I've been fortunate enough to been going to Caruso's since I was a small child with my family. The ambience is simple...red and white chechered tablecloths with simple candles. The staff is small and friendly. The cost is inexpensive and the food is top quality. Caruso's offers a wide variety of Italian food. I highly suggest the lasgana. The soup is divine and even better with a few pieces of bread in it. Caruso's is a family atmosphere that shouldn't be overlooked>
I'd seen Caruso's many times, while driving east on Menaul. There it was, less than five miles from home, one of the better tasting pizza places in the city, and I had no idea. We arrived late that evening, an hour before closing time, eager to enjoy a fine pizza dinner. Flickering candles on top of tables provided light and evoked a dim romantic setting. Red checkered cloths covered table tops. A waiter asked us to pick any seat. We gladly chose a booth by the west wall. New Mexico map place mats caught our eye. Craving a change from our usual toppings, we asked the waiter for his recommendation. He suggested a pizza topped with sausage and green chile. As our food was being prepared, I couldn't help but analyze the place. Caruso's is a quaint little restaurant adorned with outdated decor. But the restaurant's cleanliness makes up for its lack of modernity. After a fifteen minute wait our medium pizza was brought out. I first took a bite out of the crust. I was
The food is very good with generous portions. I always get 2 to 3 meals out of the half portion or a small pizza. In my option they have the best pizza in Albuquerque and I think I’ve tried most places. I eat there almost every week and don’t get tired of it.
Went there last night for dinner and of all delicious things in the menu my sister ordered their fried chicken. Best fried chicken I had in a long time. Crispy & juicy, great flavor.
Great food. Amazingly friendly& attentive service. Clean tables, clean floors & clean bathroom. Affordable prices. We're looking forward to returning soon.
Food is always freshly prepared and they serve large portions. Prices are reasonable. Service is excellent and always attentive. Definitely recommend!

Usually service is a 5 star, but not this time. Been coming here since I was about 5 years old, and the sauces are still the best in the city. Best eggplant Parmesan by far!!
Absolutely amazing! Has that Italian feel, mixed in with awesome service and smiles. The food is delicious and more. I have been eating there since I was a child. Still amazing. Brings back numerous childhood memories. I never get tired of eating there. Absolutely a must if you love Italian food. They make their own sauces and everything.
This is one "Gem" of a restaurant. I love having lunch at "Carrusos" the atmosphere, music, service location and of course the food. The waiter is always nice, fast and professional. This really is one of my favorite spots in Albuquerque. I gladly give them 5 stars.
