Posto speciale gestito da persone meravigliose. Al barilotto ti sentirai è come essere in vacanza dagli zii gentili del sud. Assolutamente consigliato per chi vuole godersi la costiera amalfitana nel relax più assoluto

Davvero un bel posto, con vista sul mare. Vicino a Positano. Il titolare è gentilissimo! Assolutamente consigliato.

Ottima location in riva al mare . Il titolare è’ molto disponibile anche per portarti a Positano. Consigliato!

If I could give this place ten stars, I would. Giovanni and his sister are truly wonderful people! And very good at what they do. Always greeted with a smile and some Italian flare, they drop everything to help. From organizing restaurant reservations, to driving us last minute to the center of Positano, to calling their favorite reliable taxi drivers, they made our stay incredibly enjoyable. The breakfast was 10/10, everything tasted so fresh and the fruits and vegetables are literally grown in the garden on the property. We wish we had more time to spend after our 6 nights in Positano, but being sent off with an adorable rendition of “O Sole Mio” sung by Giovanni and his sister was a fantastic capstone on an already spectacular trip! Highly recommend, DO NOT MISS an opportunity to stay here!

Giovanni and the rest of the family made us feel at home from the moment we arrived until we left. His approach to visitors and a big heart are invaluable! Clean room and great view. Breakfast was very good, fresh fruit, everything you need with a view as well. It was very hard for us to part and we are confident that we will come back to this place in the future. Kaja and Tomek

This might have been one of the best stays me and my boyfriend have been to. Giovanni was just outstanding and amazing. He made us feel like it is our home away from home. In general everyone was super nice and always in a good mood. The room was perfect with a balcony and the views from there and the breakfast just stunning. We were helped with planing, finding good restaurants and get the most out of the short stay. It broke my heart a bit to leave and say goodbye to these amazing people. We are definitely coming back soon !

Fantastic service! It felt very homely and familiar - like you where a part of the family. Giovanni, who runs the hotel, is warm and welcoming, and the hardest working man in Positano. He greeted us every morning with a smile and stunning service, gave us recommendations for where to eat, what to do, and how to get there (both in Positano and Capri), and would also drives us into Positano whenever we needed it. Truly above and beyond! There is also a small beach nearby that they can point you towards - make sure to bring walking shoes and water depending on the time of day you go. It’s not a long walk but there are a lot of stairs and it can be quite a workout. The rooms are clean and simple and have what you need for your stay. If you can, book a room with a balcony - it’s so worth it! There is a rooftop that you can walk up to from the second floor, which offers an outdoor shower and some sun beds. This is perfect after a long day at the beach, hiking, or walking around the costal cities. We had breakfast included in our stay, which we can also highly recommend. You are served everything from stunning fresh fruit, to bread and spreads, eggs any way you like them, and different yogurts. Please note that this is the only meal that is served at the hotel, so make plans for lunch and dinner. The hotel kindly suggested some restaurants that offered a free shuttle service from/to the hotel (which is VERY helpful in a city like Positano).

Not someone who usually writes reviews, but felt compelled to as Hotel Barilotto was truly a standout kind of experience! Giovanni made my fiancé and I feel like we were his old friends, not hotel guests. The views were idyllic and everything was clean. He drove us into town every day and also helped us make tons of last minute reservations at restaurants around Positano. We really hope we're able to return one day!

Giovanni and his family made our stay unforgettable. My wife and I decided to find a place on the Amalfi Coast where we could find some serenity and be able to enjoy the Amalfi coast, from its most crowded areas to the most isolated and beautiful. At first we thought the distance from Positano might pose an issue but it was truly a blessing. Giovanni provides transport to Positano and frankly its a pretty easy walk as well, which we did one day when we didn’t want to wait for the bus or call Giovanni. Laurito beach is a 5 minute walk down the hill and we had this beautiful pocket to ourselves when we went down there for a swim in the morning, and having that peace and quiet was a blessing, especially when we went to Positano which was a completely different vibe with the amount of people there, although beautiful in a different way. We were grateful to be such a short distance away from Laurito beach. From Giovanni’s recommendations of how to plan a day on the coast, to the wonderful restaurants he was able to book for us with fairly little notice, and the wonderful personal recommendations and touches from him and his family a team, we can’t say we would have enjoyed staying anywhere else on the Amalfi coast. The only thing we regretted was not staying longer. Out of all the places we’ve stayed during our month in Europe Giovanni’s place was the most welcoming and sincere. The hustle and bustle and busy towns in our view are not reflective of the best parts of the coast from our perspective, but it’s rather Giovanni and his family, and the local community that make it such a wonderful experience to just live a short period of time in this beautiful part of the world.

We had an amazing stay at hotel barilotto. Giovanni and the rest of the family made us feel like home from the moment we arrived. They made our honeymoon way better, and we will definitely come back for our anniversary later. Much love from your favorite couple❤️
