Gelato: il migliore a Palaia

Dicono di noi: First of all, it is a beautiful place with spectacular views over the Tuscan hills. Although the road is terrible - preferably come by 4x4 Jeep - the views are spectacular and well worth the drive. Unfortunately this cannot be Saïd of the food. Even when taking into account the limitations of the Agriturismo concept, the menu that was served was mediocre at best. And very overpriced. Soup, chicken and potatoes.... (nothing wrong with that of course, but for E35 per person, I expected a bit more...).In comparisson, we had an excellent refined diner in one of the best restaurants of San Mineato earlier this week, for the same price. In fact, we had a better dinner at the pizza corner ar COOP, to be honest. This was also due to the fact that the food was rushed to the tables at top speed. Either they were happy to close (at 21:30 hours), OR keen to start the Camping disco...! Notwithstanding this, the hostess and staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially towards the kids, and the drinks menu was decent. Sorry for the somewhat harsh review (I do not like to do this), but this is to ensure that other customers that plan to take the journey up to your place are well informed. I thought the other reviews were a bit too enthousiastic (especially about the food).
