I’ve lived in Wilmington on and off for about four years now, and I’ve never tried FU wangz. I was having a really bad day at work, I work 7 AM until 9 PM in the sun all day and the last thing I wanted to do was go to the grocery store and cook food. Fu wangz was on my commute home. I live downtown, didn’t order until about 9:20 and the very nice gentleman taking my order did not sound annoyed whatsoever even though they were closing in 40 minutes and I placed an order that would feed probably three people. On top of the excellent customer service experience, the wings were absolutely incredible. I’m a pretty picky I must say, I’ve tried most of the places in town but fu wangz will now be top of my list. Thank you for the delightful customer service over the phone, nice delivery driver and excellent food. You guys made my bad day a lot easier.
My husband and I stopped in for the first time tonight and were wowed with the delicious food and fantastic, friendly service. He ordered red snapper and I had the lobster mac & cheese. We ate every bit of it and will definitely be back again.
This place is now Smokin Jimmies. It is delicious. I have had fried shrimp, fried salmon and fried fish. I love the dipping sauce. Their okra is delicious. The potato salad is pretty good. You can choose different seasonings for their French fries. I love the lemon pepper. I even got a crab cluster from there. You have to try it.
I am a chicken wing fanatic I travel all over and hunt down little small owned wing joints to try and find the best wing spots in town. This is definitely the best ive had in Wilmington. The caramelized sauces, the chicken was cooked perfect, the size was great. The wingz hit so hard! We had the Asian Cajun and the sweet and spicy chili. My only regret was not trying more flavors and other menu items. Id give it 6 stars if I could will most definitely be eating here again on my next trip. The Sweet and Spicy wings were delicious! Totally worth it. Top notch customer service. The chili cheese fries could have used a bit more chili.

I ordered 12 wings (half parmesan garlic and half buffalo garlic) and onion rings.
The wings were average. They were a decent size and the sauce had a lot of flavor. However, they weren’t crispy at all (I prefer that) and there was a little too much sauce. The onion rings were fantastic though. Very crispy and the batter was tasty. I would revisit to see if there is a more crispy option for their wings.
Disclaimer: I almost ate all the onion rings before I remembered to take a picture.
Do not be fooled with the exterior. The place cooks some great wings. Stopped by on the way home from work to try out their food. Got a half dozen of their wings with the Cantonese BBQ sauce (recommended by the employee). Great taste. I will try different sauces everytime I stop by.
My go to for wings! So good! Reasonably priced. So many flavors to choose from. I also love the cheese steak egg rolls and the crab fried Rice! And delicious cakes for dessert. The banana pudding cake and black cherry are my favorites! Got them tonight for dinner...never disappointed!
I haven't gone here yet, but their responses to people's 'hot take' reviews are great! Hilarious. Made me laugh. Five stars. Service industry people deserve mad respect. It's hard dealing with the 10% of customers who are 'special'. I now plan on going soon. Y'all are great, and I wish for you overstaffing and kind customers. *Oh, I forgot the most important one: and lots of big tips.🤑

Absolutely loved my wings and shrimp platter. Ordered for the first time and was not disappointed! Can't wait to try all the flavors offered, love that there's an option for all flats! Tasty Cajun fries too.
We lived in Leland and this was our place to go! We moved back to Raleigh and sure miss Fu Wangz! It’s the best in NC and I wish they were closer!
