My daughter who has a gluten and Dairy allergy was able to enjoy a delicious meal. We had terry ski steak, lobster tail and 3 sets of sushi rolls. The chef was accommodating and our waitress was wonderful. Such a warm and inviting restaurant. The decor was pretty and the jellyfish aquarium was cool. We are from Chicago and I recommend this place highly if ever In Witchita, Kansas
My husband and I are both fans of Japanese food since we have traveled there many times. We were impressed with this restaurant's menu, food and decor. I highly recommend that people who think "sushi is raw fish" have a server show them the many delicious kinds of sushi that contain no raw fish. I call it "starter sushi" and it is something anyone can enjoy.
Simply the best sushi you will get for the price in Wichita. You can’t go wrong here and the lunch specials are beyond awesome! I eat here very often and am always inviting friends. I’ve been to literally every other sushi restaurant in town and I can tell you that although many other have very good sushi also and in some cases even better I will tell you that none of them can beat the value here. Great sushi for great prices!
This is the only restaurant where I will order hibachi from! I love getting the hibachi steak here and the dipping sauce compliments the vegetables and steak very well. On this occasion, I also ordered takoyaki and a spider roll. I just happened to be extra hungry today. The hibachi steak is a meal in and of itself. They give you a salad and soup prior to the entree which is very pleasant. I really like the atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff are very friendly. Pro tip: it can get chilly in there sometimes so bring a light jacket if you don’t enjoy the breeze.
They always have fantastic service! I have never been disappointed with the food quality or the hospitality. It is definitely in my top favorite restaurants in Wichita.
Tokyo is still one of my favorites in Wichita. It is our go to for sushi. The wait staff is very attentive and patient. They know there are so many great choices but they are also quick to notice when you are ready to order. My husband and I shared the spicy salmon dinner and ordered an extra soup and shared the salad. It was just enough and we brought a few home for the grandson. We ordered the pork dumplings. They were a little sticky, which is just perfect for dumplings. The filling was well spiced and savory - not bland at all. The salmon rolls were crunchy and fresh as always. Others at the table ordered the box dinner, the sushi dinner and special rolls. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. I really can’t say enough positives about Tokyo. It is also very affordable, especially at lunch and on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
I ate here for lunch and ordered the hibachi steak lunch special. It was a great portion and was delicious! The steak was cooked to my asking and was tender and seasoned well. My veggies were very good, probably my favorite part. We also ordered a Philadelphia roll with no cucumber and a spider roll, no cucumber, and cream cheese. I preferred the Philadelphia roll over the spider roll for sure. All in all, I was satisfied with what I ordered!
Excellent Japanese restaurant. Friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean and modern. Great selection of various sushi and Japanese hibachi and other meals.
