My son found this little family run place. On are way to San Francisco and ate breakfast and the food was awesome. Wait staff was amazing . Prices were very reasonable . Atmosphere was so awesome . Everyone needs to try this place . Thank you very much .
Best place to eat breakfast... go there when ever I'm in West Sac....good food and excellent service... on Saturday and Sunday you have to go early before it gets too crowded.... the food is always good and you always get a lot to eat....
My boyfriend heard some great things about this place so we decided to check it out one Friday afternoon. We came about an hour before closing and the place had a decent amount of people in there. The restaurant itself is actually quite roomy, with plenty of tables, booths, and counter space. The servers were not the friendliest but I totally understand because they probably couldn't wait to close.
I ordered the French toast combo and subbed the sausages for potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the buttermilk pancakes with a side of hash browns. The food came out fairly fast, within 5-10 minutes. Now I don't know what type of bread they use for the French toast, but they were huge slices! I was expecting sandwich bread sliced in half but these were definitely not that. The potatoes were just how I liked them, soft and not crunchy. I added more salt and pepper and it was perfect. The side of hash browns we ordered was a pretty big portion and it was very crispy. My over medium eggs were in a nice round shape which was aesthetically great, but my boyfriend's poached eggs were overdone.
Our total for our dishes and two orange juices on the side was ~$20. For the amount of food we got, I think that that is a super reasonable price. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at this place and will definitely come back.
We went to a friend's church in West Sacramento so we wanted to go to a breakfast spot somewhere near there and we came upon Carols on the Internet and it sounded interesting. It turned out to be a great breakfast spot. Busy as it was a Sunday and the staff is real friendly. It's been around forever and they only serve breakfast and lunch but I will definitely be back. Was a good find
A neighborhood hole in the wall, clean and welcoming. The wait staff was diligent and very prompt.
A good sekection to choose from their menu and moderately price.
I choose the pork chops and eggs and it was delicious
delicious foof, friendly staff, great place to feed with such a pleasure! Thank you! ❤️
Great food & service! Lovely little local find. They even serve mimosas! Coffee was a bit stiff but not bad. Food was so full of flavor & made like momma makes it!
Carol's is a nice restaurant not too far from the bridge. I managed to get a table right away and had generous service. Though their hours are a bit short, their all day breakfast menu does give late risers a chance to get an omelette past noon.
Carol's is a West Sacramento landmark. Like many West Sacramento residents (and visitors) my family has had many delicious meals at Carol's. I had the pleasure of eating breakfast recently with two of my adult children, two of my grandchildren and my daughter's boyfriend. I ordered Carol's corned beef for the first time, surprisingly. I usually get the two egg breakfast. Carol's corned beef ranks among the best. I appreciated fresh, diced corned beef instead of canned disappointment. Carol's portions won't leave you hungry, the prices are great, the food is delicious.
My order was 3 French toasts, scrambled eggs, hash browns & bacon. With a side of gravy & biscuits. I have to say it was fast, convenient, but best of all it was good. The portions were great especially for the price. Would definitely recommend and eat again.
