Had a wonderful time here!! Definitely have to stop by here. Staff was amazing and friendly. The food was delicious and came out relatively quickly. Had a couple drinks with our brunch and those were very good as well!
Perfect place for a brunch in Georgetown. Ambience was great as well, which is a plus! Best Huevos Rancheros I’ve ever had!! If you’re in the area, you should give this place a try!!

Great spot to celebrate your birthday, corporate party or engagement. The service is great and so are the cocktails. Prices are fair and convenient for the location.
Very friendly staff and delicious food! Had lunch with baby in a stroller and the staff was very attentive and offered to help multiple times. Their shrimp and grits are very good. Also had a great brunch experience here earlier, very good value for money. Great addition to Georgetown food scene, highly recommend!

Last evening we celebrated a Birthday at this lovely ‘new’ cafe in Georgetown. What a treat! From the charming hostess, to our waiter, Victor, who deftly catered to our every whim, to the owner who joined us at the table after dinner, we felt like family.
To begin, we were given plenty of time to enjoy drinks and conversation without being rushed to order our meals. This goes a long way in establishing a level of comfort on a first visit. Victor appropriately timed his delivery of the evening’s specials and once again, we lingered, this time over the many wonderful menu offerings- each served with a savory array of seasonal ingredients. When a choice is difficult to make amidst several tantalizing dishes,
one simply must return!
Artfully plated to maximize visual appeal, the dinners delivered on both presentation and flavor. Throughout our meal, Victor was attentive and conversational with an ever present smile and polished yet witty
demeanor.
Decor and ambiance play an equally important role in any dining experience and we have two suggestions: lower the lighting level and add some tall, sweeping plants for visual texture and interest.
Well done High Street Cafe! You are a wonderful addition to the Georgetown dining scene.
We had an amazing experience at High Street cafe last night. Our food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the live music that was playing, made the evening and overall dining much more enjoyable. Our rockfish with butternut squash was delicious and the Spanish beer selection made it more unique.
Let me tell you about this place!! Firstly, I’ve been there twice and each time the staff has been incredibly friendly and attentive! Secondly, the carbonara they have is the best I’ve ever had! I really can’t recommend them enough. If you’re in the area you’d be remiss not to visit. They didn’t have a wine exactly to my taste, but I was recommended a red and a rose that I know my friends would love.
On an aside, I’d like to give a shout out to Daniela specifically! She didn’t make it feel like a restaurant experience, she made it seem like I was right at home. She’s friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and has great suggestions. If she recommends something go for it!! Enjoy a great meal for me!!
Edit: Since you’re asking, I’m always down for a sweet/dessert wine haha! Either way, I’ll definitely be back to try something else soon~
High Street Cafe has an awesome burger w fresh cut fries. The nicoise salad is also delicious. You can tell the burger meat is premium quality by the taste, it’s one of the best in DC. Other menu items look very interesting, I cannot wait to try them! Wait staff is great too, like dining at a family friend. I will be back.
So good! We stayed in a hotel across the street for a weekend and visited High Street Cafe 4 separate times. The bartenders were super nice and sociable and made incredible drinks. The breakfast pizza they served at brunch was amazing. They’re supposed to be individuals, but I think me and my husband could have split one since it was so filling. We had happy hour there later as well and all the appetizers we tried were awesome. I wish we lived closer so we could go there more! If we’re in Georgetown again, we’ll definitely be stopping in.
I have eaten at High Street several times and the staff and food are fantastic. I just had my annual Christmas/holiday lunch today for my entire staff at W. T. Weaver and Sons in our office from High Street Cafe. The food was great the order was done on time they even texted me to let me know it was ready 5 minutes early and called me to follow up a few minutes later so it would not be cold. Can't thank them enough my team was thrilled. What a great addition to Georgetown.
