As a solo tourist, I loved the hospitality and the comfortable atmosphere. The garlic naan was the best I have had in the U.S., thanks to their charcoal oven. I got the chicken seekh kababs and they were PERFECT, to say the least. The chatnis were also delicious. I was going to take a long walk in hot sun and the staff graciously filled my water bottle with ice-cold water. I would definitely recommend to others!
We had a company lunch and needed to cater for 20-25 people. A co-worker recommend Indique and they did not disappoint. They had excellent customer service. Food was delicious and on time. Another huge PLUS was that they were kind enough to accommodate to our schedule. We did not know at first that they were only open for dinner, so the fact that they decided to have this food ready for us by noon meant a great deal to us.
This restaurant is nothing short of fantastic! My co-sponsor and I came upon this restaurant with our students during the National History Day contest in the summer of 2022. We are from Silver City, New Mexico and it was an opportunity for our students to experience authentic Indian food. They loved it and demanded that we come back again, which we did this last summer. The food is incredible. The Lamb Vindaloo and the Tandoori chicken were the favorites although we sampled a wide variety of the menu. The staff and service was out of this world. They went out of their way to take care of us and to answer any and all questions about the menu. Of note, we have a student who is gluten free and this was his favorite place to eat in DC. My co-sponsor and I have traveled extensively and can honestly say that this is the best Indian restaurant we’ve eaten at in the United States. We cannot wait to go back this summer!
This cozy restaurant has the most hospitable hosts and delicious dishes to offer! I was pleasantly surprised with the beautiful presentation of the dishes and savoured every single bite of the food ordered. I definitely recommend Samosa Chaat, Bhel Puri and Paapri Chaat to anyone looking to try flavourful Indian food. Will be returning to try the rest of the menu.
A truly outstanding gem! All the food is so unique and flavorful!! Their saag paneer, unlike any other saag paneer I've ever tasted, really puts the saag in saag paneer: it's not dense and creamy like saag from other great Indian restaurants, but rather packed with so much spinach, which gives it a smooth, earthy, comfy texture. The cauliflower pecorino kulcha tastes like little slices of pizza, in a good way 😄 The mint paratha is deliciously flaky with just the right amount of butter, and the house gin & tonic is infused with a subtle variety of spices. Overall amazing vibe, amazing service, and, of course, amazing food! I don't usually eat very much for dinner, but I couldn't help but clear up the plates this time, no regrets. Can't wait to come back and try their other dishes 😋
I have been eyeing this place for a while now. My friend decided to take me for my birthday and everything was delicious. We ordered the lamb shank, chaat papri, saag paneer, lamb vindaloo, garlic naan and mango lassi. All of the meats were fall off the bone. We enjoyed the vindaloo more since the broth was so rich in flavor and cumin. Big tip try to drink the lassi towards the end of the meal as it definitely had a lot of tryptophan and made us sleepy. Flavors here are authentic and prices are reasonable. When we arrived the restaurant was completely packed. If you want great Indian food that won't break the bank this is your spot. I do wish they bring back the Indian brunch.
Came for the weekend unlimited brunch plates. That's worth the $25 and it gives us the chance to explore the different varieties of brunch plates. Don't expect the typical Indian spice levels as this caters to the metropolitan crowd.
Service is top class. Food is of high quality.
Just randomly found this spot - literally next to the Metro/Red line in Cleveland Park so super easy to find. I am accustomed to the more traditional Indian places so when I saw the menu, it was a bit confusing.
It’s like Indian ‘tapas’ - I went on the weekend and they had Sunday brunch. I LOVED every one I tried - just WOW!
Super friendly staff and the plates came out super quick.
Great service!!!
A must go place for a Indian quick bites to briyanies. We tried chicken biriyani and tastes good. Bit over priced to the give quantity.
Calm and lowkey spot that serves solid standard North Indian fare as well as some Southern classics such as fish-coconut curries. Price is mildly high but not outrageous, and their naans are freshly made in a tandoor you can see from the dining room and they're incredible.
