Every Sunday I go to Liz’s kitchen. The food is phenomenal. Corn beef hash made home made not in a can, everything is always cooked to perfection and comes out hot. Today being Father’s Day I honestly was worried about it because of how packed it was. I ordered lunch for the first time. Can I just say the meatloaf was heaven on a plate and the mashed potatoes and gravy had me wanting more. Let alone the green beans were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My friends hamburger steak was cooked exactly how he liked it and everything came out to fresh!! I am amazed and very happy that I found this place and I will continue to come here for Sunday brunch �

Stumbled upon this place for breakfast after visiting our son in Chesapeake. So glad we did. Will be sure to stop by everytime we are in the area. I could tell it was a Neighborhood favorite. The atmosphere was so inviting. The sun shining through the windows and creating a lovely glow on the restaurant. The tables were large with a collective assortment of chairs. The mugs that held the coffee and tea were of various designs. It was like visiting a friend for breakfast. Our server was friendly and there were specials on the blackboard. The portions were also plentiful. Connected to the restaurant was a bakery and it smelled so good. I will be sure to pick up something the next time we visit. I would highly recommend this place. We had planned to visit surf rider and the phone number online says disconnected when you call it. It's not obvious that it is still open just looking online. Thankfully we drove over to check. They've combined Surf Rider with Liz's. Our server was very friendly and did a good job. The food was delicious. The fried oysters were really fresh and cooked well. The head of broccoli is quite the novelty and was good. On our way out, our server thanked each of us individually for visiting and wished us a good evening. Overall a wonderful experience.
I'm a big shrimp and grits fan and I thought nothing can beat Georgia's s&g. But oh my god.....BEST SHRIMP AND GRITS I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! 🤤 The way the girts melts in your mouth like butter. The kick of spice from the sausage complements the peppers and onions. But most importantly the shrimp was so good, juicy and well seasoned. This dish is 💯 perfection.
A perfect spot right near the KOA campground. All the reviews were positive so we thought we’d give it a go. Very clean, nice decor, and courteous staff. The food was very good. We are biscuits and gravy snobs and really liked theirs. Bacon was cooked perfect and eggs were as ordered. I opted for the potato casserole and loved it. We are only here a free days and will be back!
Food was Great, customer service was great and prices were very reasonable. We're not from around here, but will definitely come here again.
This is my favorite breakfast/lunch place in Virginia Beach. The staff is friendly and always treat you like family. The food is always amazing no matter what you order. My favorite dish is the potato casserole. I recommend this restaurant to all my coworkers.

Group of 6...very clean inside...nice staff...breakfast drinks from coffee to mimosas fresh and tasty...food esp the grits very very good. Will be back.
Had the steak bites and crab dip, it was soo delicious! The food was cooked perfectly and the flavor was phenomenal. Waitstaff a friendly and helpful. Great little diner!
This place was very very nice! I’m extremely happy I took my family here today. With a family of six, at times it can be difficult to find a family friendly restaurant with delicious food. Glad we found this one! The waitress was very nice and caring towards our needs and we were greeted warmly coming in and leaving (which is important to me and a minor detail I notice and am grateful for). Overall, can’t wait for the next time we come back!
