Well worth the stop! Great selection on the menu, and really friendly folks here. We got a “Brute” burrito and a BBQ Po-Boy, with pulled pork, brisket, and green & red chiles. It was ready fast and tasted great. Cool farm store, too. Plenty to look at on the walls while you’re waiting for your food. Definitely a place we’ll come back to again.
Can't say enough good stuff about this place! Great atmosphere and wonderful food.....real food, homemade and authentic. It doesn't need sauce so it checked all my boxes. I'm not going to lie, the trip from the highway to the location, I checked my GPS more than once but the high reviews kept me moving forward. Would definitely eat here again!
We read great reviews as we were heading through on Route 40 so we stopped for lunch. We were delighted with the whole experience. Brisket was outstanding! Friendly folks, fun general store and CLEAN restroom. Do stop! You will NOT be disappointed 😊
Great food, awesome atmosphere, amazing people. This bbq joint, off the beaten path, is well worth a visit. We sat outside and enjoyed our meal. They have a well decorated outside seating area as well as some booths and tables inside.
Stopped here, Tucumcari, driving through New Mexico, and it was a great decision. Great BBQ and Hospitality in a very small town. The gentleman/pitmaster who cooked the food said they are famous for their brisket, ribs and sausage, so that's what we ordered. We ordered the 3 meat meal with sides, Mac n cheese, baked beans and potato salad. Let me say, the meat tasted like they just butchered the steer and hog, very fresh. Everything was great. The sides were homemade and everything was very good.
The pitmaster and a lady, who I assumed was his wife, were very kind and friendly.
Great food and The people are super friendly. Its off the beaten path inside a hardware/antique store that is a must see. A true part of Americana. If your anywhere near it, make the stop. You won’t regret it.
We didn’t want fast food.. so we decided to try this bbq joint. We sure are glad we stopped in. It was really good bbq and the customer service is out of this world. It was nice to sit down and have a bite. The food came out fast! Mac and cheese, beans, sausage, and chopped brisket sandwiches is what we had! Plus cobbler I ordered the peach but the gentleman also gave us a sample of the green chili apple which was also very good!😋 it was all so good! Great prices and have never met nicer people!
Good food, friendly counter service. Easy walking distance from the Blue Swallow, Motel Safari, and other spots along Route 66. Note that the Ranch Supply store in which Watson's is located is more a gift shop than a true ranch supply store.
