Deliciously fresh sushi! The sushi rice is seasoned right and made with love, it didn't taste too bland as most other places I've tried.
For appetizers I tried the fried calamari, dynamite mussels, takoyaki and the octopus salad. My personal favorite was the fried calamari, it had the perfect crunch and freshly fried. The mussels were amazing, however it was a bit much for the wasabi cream, a bit overpowering and takes away from the other flavors. Still tasteful though! The takoyaki is good, I would love to see if it can be fried at a higher heat to make it more crispy outside; so far that I've tried at most places, the ball is soggy, or gets soggy very fast.
For rolls, I ordered the Mexican deluxe, Godzilla roll and 1 more (totally forgot the name!). All the ingredients tasted fresh, no fishy taste at all which is perfect. I will never forget how fresh the eel on top was on my roll, the eel literally melted in my mouth like butter, I was extremely impressed! Freshest made eel on a roll I've Ever had!
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, the food was very tasty. My ONLY concern is that the place needs quite a bit of a face lift or upgrade; it's older and needs a step up in the ambiance. It was very quiet in the facility, and from where I sat, the wall or floor had an old musty smell that wasn't too pleasant. But other than that, I will be back to try more things on the menu!
I'm torn on this place. The sushi is great. I had some super Toro last time there. The atmosphere needs work: it's a combination between a funeral home and your grandmother's guest bedroom. So I go for the food, not the ambiance.
Sushi chef was Japanese.
They had their Uni supply delivered an hour before we arrived.
Sushi prices are for one piece not two and this is because the quality is very high.
The appetizers and from the kitchen options range from very Japanese to excellent fusion. The spicy tuna cracker (senbei) was wonderful.
The men’s bathroom has a washlet just like in Japan! Go treat your mouth to a luxurious sushi dinner then treat your butt to a luxurious bidet spray
I have nothing but positive things to say about toki.
Iv been coming there for awhile and I always get an absurd amount of salmon.
It's my favorite sushi place in all of Florida and I always make the near hour drive there whenever I get the chance.
I'll be coming here as long as the doors are open!

This place is new to us but it is now our favorite sushi joint in Northdale/Carrollwood. The rolls are fresh, delicious and unique. We will be back again and again.
I am SHOCKED at how good my meal was. Hamachi collar slapped, agedashi tofu delicious, udon addictive, and all hits no skips on sashimi dinner. Get it all, come hungry.
Sushi will and will always be good… chicken teriyaki isn’t good at all! Don’t order chicken teriyaki! Sushi is phenomenal! I’ve had their sushi sooo many times it’s amazing! But that chicken teriyaki they literally need to sit down and try and think it’s somehow good… it’s not! Sushi good worst chicken teriyaki I had! Gave five stars for sushi! Quit making chicken teriyaki! It sucks. I’m super surprised by no comments talking about the teriyaki chicken?!?! I gave them five stars cause everything else is good but dried up chicken breast in watered down teriyaki sauce is unacceptable! I really hope you pull your act together with either taking the teriyaki off your menu completely or making it betterш
Every restaurant around Florida, always serves cheap fake sushi and low grade quality. My wife and I who are from Japan, don't complain about most sushi places because we know what to expect. But this place takes the cake, we wanted traditional Japanese sushi and cuisine. As we came, we were greeted nicely and given hot towels to wipes our hands and faces, as most quality restaurants should have. Chopsticks give you an authentic feel, instead all the other nonsense Asian restaurants that just throw forks on the tables, assuming no one knows what "chopsticks" are. Their menu was great, all Japanese and no nonsense fusion garbage. We ordered the sushi plate and it was fantastic, good quality and moist. The negimaki gave us such nostalgia, it is an incredible little beef dish. I would recommend this place 100% to anyone who wants to eat authentic Japanese food in Florida.
Been going here for over 15yrs and just love it. Food is always fresh and tasty. Best sushi in the bay area!
I loved the food I just wish the server put in all of our orders in at the same time.
