LIVERPOOL LOCATION REVIEW: Going in I wasn't sure how this place was gonna go, having a counter and all. Knowing the food at the primary Francesca's location is excellent, decided to give it a shot. Food was pretty close to the same high level of quality, with better prices and pretty fast service. I was very impressed with the whole operation, it's a great place if you're looking for very good Italian food with a very casual experience. Given you don't have a waiter per se it's a lot easier to be in and out for lunch. Only qualm is they don't serve any kind of alcohol, but given the value of eating here it's relatively insignificant.
Been here a few times, food is always very good! It was raining so the outside seating wasn't available. We had a reservation for 530 on a sat and has no wait. Had to sit in the front dining room by the entrance, was cramped and noisy from all the servers running around (necessary but not very enjoyable). Hopefully next time we can sit outside and relax with the great food. Service was great, food was great, front dining room cramped but tolerable. The goat cheese appetizer is great!!
Great food. Actually, excellent. Awful host/hostess service. It's a shame that a place that does such an amazing job with food can't get customers seated in a timely fashion. The past 3 times I've been here I never get seated on time with reservations. On my birthday in an empty dining room the host sat there and spent his time texting. We are at the bar. Great food. Absolutely terrible host service. If you can bare the terrible first impression, sit down, eat the food it's worth it.
This restaurant has great ambience as it manages to be romantic, but not stuffy. Service was slow to start and we waited about 15 minutes to order, but our server was apologetic and spot on the rest of the night. The portions here are quite large so I would definitely say that we got our moneys worth. We started with the goat cheese fritter which was absolutely wonderful. As my main I got the mussels Francesca which were boasted as a signature dish and i would say they lived up to their title, it was quite good. My girlfriend got the chicken Vesuvius, her portion was huge, but flavors were just ok and didn't really wow me. Overall a great spot to dine in Syracuse and we will be back.
Spring Break 2013. Sopped in for lunch on way to Seneca Lake wine country. We had the stuffed red cherry peppers which were delicious. The cream of mushroom soup was the best we ever had. The sale with grilled shrimp, candied walnuts was quite tasty. Topped it all of with Argentine merlot. Wonderful lunch. Will definitely return again from Indiana.

Great food, great bar, great time. So I agree with one of the reviews as far as the hostess goes. I don't know if it was the same one but we too had reservations and waited 40 minutes for a table even though others were sat before us. I'm pretty sure she forgot us but another guy who was watching over her grabbed us the minute I asked how much longer and sat us. But the bar was great and the bartender was super nice so it wasn't really an inconvenience. You'd just think a hostess would know what she was doing in a busy establishment.
So after we were seated the rest of the night was awesome. Our waitress, Crystal, was SUPER nice and helped a couple of us out with dinner choices. She was spot on with her recommendations too. There was a good choice of specials although I was very disappointed when I saw a dry aging cooler near the bar but none of the steak choices were dry aged. I'm a sucker for good dry aged beef and order it whenever it's available. To see a couple hundred pounds of it in a cooler like that and not able to order it was a real disappointment. I was surprised on a Saturday night it wasn't on the specials list. At any rate, the bread was homemade and delicious. The dinner salads were fantastic. It's nice to see fresh anchovies on a Ceaser salad. Not a lot of restaurants go the extra on those. Two of us ordered the Delmonico and it was a fantastic tasting cut and they cooked it very nicely. Two others order pasta/chicken entrees and they were enormous. You definitely get your moneys worth as far as portions are concerned. Also, all the deserts were made on there and they were great. They also have a house Sangria and contrary to another post, it was good. I make my own in the summer and this was very good.
Highly recommend Francesca's! But do come a little earlier than your reservation. You will need some time to fine a parking spot. It is in the city and it's mostly street parking so you'll need to walk a bit once you find a spot.
Took my girlfriend here for our anniversary. Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. She asked for a Strawberry Daiquiri... wasn't on the menu. Bartender made one anyway and it was fantastic!!! Girlfriend loved it.

Great Food, Great Service Great Dining Experience. Just got back from another great dining experience at Francesca's Cucina in Little Italy. I love Italian food, especially Francesca's vodka sauce however sometimes you want to break out and try something a little different. This is where Francesca's nightly specials really shine. There was a nice selection of seafood, steaks and even one dish prepared with an oriental flair. I selected their swordfish with a side of their mushroom risotto and was very pleased. Their homemade bread and generous salad added to make the dinner perfect. I finished my dinner with a cappucino and cannoli that was fresh and tasty. Even though it was a busy night we were seated quickly, within 30 mins, and enjoyed a drink at the bar while we waited. Our waiter was helpful and polite and helped us select a nice bottle of wine that was affordable. The traditional cozy atomosphere of the dining room was a pleasant change from the typical chain restaurants and I am pleased to be patronizing a local family owned establishment. I will definitely be back for more.
Great place, very good food, service, and atmosphere. Been there half a dozen times and no complaints.

If I could have given 10 stars for Atmosphere ,I would have. The courtyard/patio is just GORGEOUS.The staff is super nice. They come across that they like their jobs. Our waiter was Herbert. From beginning to end his service towards us was excellent. The food was delicious and presentation of each dish was on point. The Bang Bang Calamari one of the best I've ever had. Every dish looked beautiful.Too bad we live in Rochester we would come her more often,but our friends live in Syracuse and they visit your Liverpool location frequently. This was a special birthday and my friend will remember this day forever. Keep up the excellence with everything.
I spent my 40th Birthday at Francesca's. I had a wonderful experience. The decor and ambience is very nice. The food is delicious and the butter cake amazing🥰. Our waitress, the bartenders, and other staff are so hospitable and accommodating. I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.
Absolutely excellent Italian dishes, and reasonably priced. The Italian wedding soup was great, not too oiley, and had top quality ingredients like my grandmother used to make. The dessert tray is worth looking at even if you don't get something for how good it all is presented. The bar tenders on 11/10 were very attentive since I was a walk in and traveling solo on a Friday was the only place to sit. Definitely a memorable experience and would fully recommend!
Wow, this place was amazing!! Everything was good. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to give us a table immediately. The food was amazing the service was great and they have a good atmosphere. The prices are relatively high but it’s completely worth it considering the portions and flavor. I will definitely come back to Francesca’s Cucina.
Date night with husband, we were able to get a last min reservation which is rear! Food was really good. The bread and sauces served once you’re seated is delicious. The bread is soft and fresh with herbs, red onions and tomatoes baked on top. I had the crab stuffed salmon- portion of as large and risotto was cooked to perfection. My husband had the filet with Gouda mashed Potatoes, very good and the steak was just the way he ordered. The waiter had good recommendations for drinks and appetizers. Butter cake was delicious. I did feel it was a bit undercooked but waiter assured me that’s the texture. My husband had the Oreo cheese cake-she’s a chocolate lover and really enjoyed it. I will be having my leftovers for lunch today!
Came for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint. All of the staff was pleasant and attentive. Food was delicious. The scallop special was unique and flavorful. The lobster ravioli with vodka sauce is always a favorite. Wish we left room for dessert! Always need to make a reservation which is easy to do online or by calling.

Honestly, if I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! My partner and I went here for a dinner date after a long day and everything about our experience was amazing from our server to the atmosphere and the food was amazing! Such a comfortable and romantic atmosphere too and the cocktails were great!
Good food. Good service. Excellent butter cake. My wife and I enjoyed a nice meal on a Thursday night. If yo are coming here I would recommend making a reservation as it is very busy.
Parking was a bit tricky since it's downtown. They have two lots but they're small and always full. Food was good. Ordered online and food was ready on time. I recommend the bang bang calamari. I also tried the stuffed peppers app which were mini meatballs wrapped in a spicy peppers, and the flavor was okay. Gorgonzola gnocchi was good but DO NOT add meat cuz I paid $7 for a single scallop, it was a decent sized scallop but I think there should have been at least two scallops for the price. We're not at Michael Jordan's Steakhouse.
