While visiting my son stationed at Ft. Drum, his wife wanted to drive to Dionosaur BBQ. She said people rave about it. Well, we drive 1 plus to try. I’m a super picky when it comes to meat. I almost call myself a vegetarian. This is by far the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten. From Maryland!

The food was pretty good and the "greens" I don't recommend they were very scary and stinky 😱. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork were amazing. The pickled onions were really good too. The place was extremely busy (but to be as expected of someplace this popular and that has as good food as this). I would definitely recommend the food and the services. The waiter was very friendly and helpful!
Had a really wonderful meal here. It was a long wait but luckily they have a great waiting system and so I just put my number down and they texted me when it was ready which I really appreciate it. Got a good seat outside with my dog and we had a good time. Our waitress was amazing giving us good suggestions and supporting us with giving us samples of the cider so we knew what we were going to be getting on what we wanted. She directed us well and we had a great night. The food was delicious and the sources really stood out. Was it the best barbecue I've had no, but was it the best barbecue experience I've had? Yes, highly recommend going and making a special night of it
Food was amazing, service was excellent, had a great time. My spouse had a bloody Mary and we ordered the fried tomatoes and Cajun deviled eggs to start - delicious (the eggs were a bit salty - still good, but everything else was perfect). Pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, and BBQ beans and then the ribs and pulled pork with tomato and cucumber salad, corn bread, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was perfectly cooked and I definitely ate too much!
This was an absolute must! We had the most phenomenal server and she was dealing with so much while we were sitting outside and we couldn’t ask for better recommendations from her. We are absolutely love the food and it was a classic American bbq type of mean. So worth a visit if you can swing it. Lots of parking on the street and a very cool atmosphere.
Excellent BBQ, specials, and service. Quite busy for the middle of the week but that's how you know it's good! Compared to many BBQ spots, what I appreciated most was the phenomenal choices of rubs and flavors but presented in a perfect amount. The chicken and ribs and sides had good flavoring but it was not overpowering. Very well-balanced.
Very welcoming and hopping BBQ joint with lots of outdoor space and great prices. They welcomed us with our pup on the patio and gave him water. Drinks were cold and the portions ample. Great value and service!
Excellent meal, ribs and brisket were great. Mac and cheese was unreal, the crust was incredible.

Worth the wait! We waited 45 minutes for a table but well worth it. We had bbq ribs, brisket, pulled pork. Mac and cheese was to die for! Service was quick and friendly! Good size portions
I go to Dinosaur BBQ every time I’m in Syracuse and I have never been disappointed. I LOVE Dinosaur BBQ!!!! Brisket is the best but their chicken wings are also top notch. The brisket tacos are new and my favorite. Everything is amazing.
Both Street parking ($2 per hour) and lot parking ($6) are available. Establishment was very busy but managed well. We had about a 10 minute wait. The waitress was extremely personable and provided an overview of the menu. My mom and I shared a 3 meat platter that came with two sides and cornbread. It came out quickly. The portion was large and was just enough for the two of us. The best part hands down were the ribs. If I could eat those the rest of my life I’d be very happy. The coleslaw was a mix of creamy and vinegary. The wings were very moist. The pork was just alright - it tasted good with their bbq sauce. The Mac and cheese was very unique. If you pair their homemade blue cheese sauce with the Mac and cheese it is unreal. We purchased their homemade spices, bbq sauces and chips to bring back with us to Canada. Next time we’re in town we will definitely be back ! Delicious !
