Dexter And Hayes Public House

So I don't live there, but just reviewing them based on my experience with the property manager Todd. I was a walk-in client and Todd was very friendly and welcoming. He was very informative, and I felt that he was also transparent, which I appreciated because I would be an extremely disgruntled tenant if I was fed misinformation prior to signing my lease. I cannot afford their two bedroom places and their one bedroom options are a bit too small for me personally, but I think I would have been happy to have Todd as my property manager if I found the right apartment there! Four stars only because I wish they had a greater variety of apartment sizes and styles.

Okay so it has been nearly 6 mths that I got to stay in this apartment complex. Overall, the experience has been amazing! There are pros and cons to everything and I will lay them down here for you to see and hope it will help you when you make a decision: PROS: 1. Management! Jacob and Jenna have been amazing right from the very first day I got here, not only the accommodated to almost all my requests in a timely fashion, they are constantly improving the conditions and work orders happen right away when needed. So a big Kudos to them for their great job! You cant go wrong when they welcome you with a big bottle of Gin! 2. Location, Location, and LOCATION! basically you are by a bike lane, and biking/walking distance to everything you need in the city. getting here from I5 is a breeze as it is one of the first exist of Seattle so you almost always miss the crazy traffic. Great views! especially when you have alake facing unit. Close to Fremont, Lake Union, Shopping district etc... 3. Well built units, other than the bedroom that is kind of weird not having a window the actual living space is quite nice and all appliances functioned as a new building should. You have in suit washer and dryer which is excellent 4. the rooms are very nicely insulated for sound... and neighbors have all been very friendly 5. The common area on level 5 is nicely built and usually you can find some ppl to chat with and watch some games/ shows 6. Quite a secure building which has been great! 7. The price has been very competitive. 8. Clean and convenient bike storage CONS: 1. Dexter ave is a busy street, during work hours quite a few cars do pass and although the windows are sound proof to some extend, when bigger rigs pass you can definitely hear them. 2. No free guest parking--- I can understand that in DT it may be too much to ask but I think such big building needs some guest parking either with Temp pass or day passes 3. Although the building is pet friendly, there isn't any convenient station for the pets to do their business, or get washed... I know some competitors do provide that 4. parking stalls is a bit narrow but if you are a good driver you will be alright. 5. The building doesn't have a gym... although this was not a huge factor for me as I like to workout outside, but It would have been nice to have a gym so you could try it from time to time when it is very cold outside... having said this there is a gym 2 buildings down. I will update this when I move out but so far I highly recommend the unit to anyone who loves to be in the DT core but a bit away from it all with more peace...
