I sometimes visit this place, and tried various menu. It is always great, and Vanmi is the best! Full of meats, lots of sources are given, fast, clean, full of flavor!!! And it has a large size. Very big size!! I highly recommend this menu. You can remove cilantro if you say, and meat has a fire flavor as well.
Love the service, ambience, and people. Definitely recommend the pho and strong vietnamese coffee!
There's plenty of pho in the U-District to the point of gluttony. Given the saturated market, it takes a lot for a location to stand out, and this place did not do it for me. I had their brisket pho, and while delicious, it wasn't my favorite on the ave. I will be returning, but with tempered expectations. Service is kind and prompt, but the inside temperature can be kind of stuffy as the ventilation is poor.
The food here is amazing, although my current experience was a hiccup in there otherwise pleasant service and meals. I order the garlic chicken and most of the was not cooked through. One drumstick was mostly raw. My aim is not to negatively affect there sales just a note to be sure the meat is cooked fully in hopes to avoid someone getting sick. Thank you
Came in on a Sunday afternoon. For two we ordered and shared a large #12 pho which had a good amount of sliced beef and meatballs. Broth was flavorful and not too sweet in my opinion. We also ordered the combo sandwich bread was a bit puffy and had egg rolls which were really crispy and had a good taste.
Overall I would come back again, they constantly refilled my water and were attentive in their service.
Headed over to the House Specialty: Com Dac Biet - didn’t disappoint! So good and great array of flavors, sweet and crunchy! Chili oil was perfect to mix with the rice and egg, too. Delicious spot, will definitely be back to try another dish!
Friendly staff taking care of customers in timely manner. Staffs speak fluent English. The hand soap smells great. The decoration has some age. It has an open kitchen.
The sandwich bread is perfect. Meat and vegetables are at right portions for me. The shrimp spring roll is okay.
Really cozy little spot (dimmer lighting, nice and warm inside)! $12.50 for a regular sized Pho bowl. Decent amount of food, very tasty broth! (Afterwards I need to make sure to hydrate since it is pretty salty, but tastes darn good).
New favorite Vietnamese spot on the Ave! Super friendly staff, agreeable prices, and just darn good food. Classic raw beef pho was nourishing and filling and perfect for these soggy winter Seattle days. The crispy tofu was super satisfying and came out super hot 🔥 fully contented in every regard :)
This place rocks! I hadn't been in since the menu was redesigned, so I was unsure if I could still get my favorite (the menu numbers are all/mostly different). But yup, it's still available.
The counter service is quick and friendly. They got my order correct (I get a few things removed from the item I order). And I got an ample amount of it, all of which tasted great and was decently priced. I still miss eating at the long gone Ballet in Capitol Hill, but this is a good replacement.
(One minor thing: the sodium level in the curry seemed a little too high, not sure if that's typical or was a one off.)
