Amazing place, great food and music, the owners and staff are wonderful, it's just magical. <3 4 eva.
Good food and fun atmosphere, in the middle of hopping Capitol Hill. We had a group of 5 on a busy Saturday night and they had an opening on Open Table. My friend had mentioned this place before so I thought I'd give it a try.
Good food and good service. I would recommend it to everyone.
Very enjoyable and safe patio dining experience! Service was great, and their covered street patio setup has space heaters. Still dress warm, but it wasn’t as chilly as some spots. We highly enjoyed the halloumi dish, and the tomato basil soup was so fresh and tasty. Generous portion sizes as well. We had to wait a bit for a table, but the service was very speedy once we were sat. Highly recommend all around!
This is definitely a must try. This is my first time and I absolutely loved the place. They have nice outdoor seating with cozy indoor dining as well. I tried the bagel with salmon and a scone. Both were very good. My wife took the pettirosso basic. I really liked the cappuccino with the scone. The staff was super friendly and would definitely come back again.
We ordered pastries and drinks and breakfast/brunch menu items. We sat in the outdoor tent seating, and our server was nice and helpful. Food was good, with large serving sizes. That tarts were delicious.
First time trying this restaurant. The menu looks good. We ordered tofu vegies scramble w/ curry sauce and toast and steak sandwich. Pretty good food. Will definitely come back to try the other dishes.
My experience at Cafe Pettirosso was very pleasant. From the person taking your name down fornthe wait list to the server, all was done efficiently and with a smile. I ordered the breakfast grilled cheese with eggs and caramelized onions and a side of fries. Both cooked.to perfection. Perhaps more onions in the sandwich would have been ideal. The garlic aiolo did not overpower the fries. The coffee was well brewed and arrived at a great temperature. Overall, an excellent experience that I would recommend you to try. Excellent brunch choice.
Overall my experience at Pettitrosso was very enjoyable. I had a grapefruit mimosa, perfectly balanced, in an appropriately gigantic wine glass which made me feel very fancy. My husband ordered the "Bartender's Breakfast" cocktail, a delicious concoction of cold brew and alcohol topped with an orange peel twist. The flavor on its own is fantastic, and the garnish adds an interesting citrus aromatic that I didn't initially thing would mesh with a creamy, coffee cocktail.
We also ordered a couple shareables, a jalapeno cheddar scone and a bruleed grapefruit. The scone was good, though I would have gone for more jalapeno- overall decent flavor but lacking any standout punchiness. The bruleed grapefruit was good, though the brulee didn't add much except aesthetic. I did particularly appreciate the little touch of serving it with a grapefruit spoon!
For the main meal I ordered the croque madame, which I had mixed feelings about. For one, it's an open-faced sandwich on baguette bread, which presented challenges with actually cutting into it. I'm also just not a big fan of open-faced sandwiches in general. They also replaced the traditional ham on a croque madame with turkey, and I couldn't help thinking while I was eating how much better it would be with ham. The turkey was somehow overpowering of other flavors and underwhelming. The baguette bread was delicious, as was the gruyere cheesiness with perfectly cooked eggs on top. It's unfortunate I couldn't quite get past the turkey and strange serving method to fully enjoy the meal.
Overall my impression is that it's a solid brunch restaurant with variations on traditional themes, with some working together better than others.
First time in Seattle and this was the first place we decided to try. It was a great decision! The food was absolutely delicious and the coffee tasted amazing! The atmosphere was very friendly, as were the employees. I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Seattle, because sadly there's no location in Chicago.
The tomato soup is great taste for its rich texture. The French toast is impressed with its pumpkin sauce and chopped apple inside. And the syrup mixs with bourbon. The atmosphere is great for small group with its space table and the distance between other tables. Which wouldn't be bothered by other noise.
Went here for breakfast recently and it was such a treat! Great vegan options! I hate to say it, but their biscuits and gravy are better than ones I've had at most vegan restaurants. They also had a bruleed grapefruit, which was delicious (and novel) and one of the best scones I've ever eaten - orange cranberry and to die for. The atmosphere is also adorable and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommend!
Awesome place to grab brunch indoors or on the outdoor/patio tables. The caramel latte was delicious and not overly sweet. The food was also really good.
