Good dinner in North Scotsdale. I am surprised by the negative reviews, and will simply try to tell you what our experience was.
We came there on a busy Friday night because we needed to go to Target. We got our name on the list and then used the half hour or so we would have waited anyway to go to Target.
When we came back to the restaurant the young lady who was hosting greeted us by name, and our table was ready immediately. I had been concerned that the live music might be too loud, but this was not a problem.
I had the seafood enchilada which is criticized in a prior review. The dish had a delightful seafood flavor. The sauce complemented the dish. Now I must reveal that i am used to excellent fresh seafood. I catch Dungeness Crab and oysters from my own beach and occasionally even catch a salmon, and eat them when they are less than a day out of the water. So I confess to being a bit of a seafood snob. This dish did not rise to the level of "best ever" but I admire the attempt and the result was very good. My friends had fajitas and they both enjoyed them. (Actually, so did I since we ate leftovers for a couple of days!)
The restaurant appears to be a family operation. And everyone i came into contact with seemed to have a personal interest in our having a good experience. Even the eleven or twelve year old, probably earning his college fund filling water glasses and busing tables, was a delightful ambassador for the place.
One negative, albeit a very minor one. For those of us accustomed to spicy mexican fare, the food was a little under seasoned. So if you are a pepper to the point of curling both your hair and your toes person, you might ask for them to kick up the seasoning a bit. But it is a definitely a place that uses quality fresh ingredients and sees no reason to overpower their fresh natural taste with too much spice.
Since I live near this place I will return. I think I will order the veggie Fajitas next time. Gotta think of the waistline!!
Love it!!!!!. I am not sure where those two horrible reviews came from because this place is awesome! The food is top notch and authentic and the management is always on top of things. You must try the Fajita's and get a flight of tequila. The chips and salsa are great and if you ask them for the spicy salsa they will bring it for you.. be prepared it's HOT! They have a nice outdoor patio with views of the Boulders. I have been a few times at night and is has been packed and full of great energy.
Amazing!!!!! Best chicken fajitas around! Everything was delicious! Love their salsa! The assistant manager was so nice and chatted with us. Will be back!!
Walked in on a Friday and there were not many people in the restaurant. The staff sat us and we had a great time. The waitress was so nice and easy to talk to. The food was wonderful and the water taste better than most places. Also they do good desserts 🍨

We had a great dining experience at Hacienda. I had the pork carnitas and they were made exactly how I like them. Not too dry and seasoned well! Portions in my opinion were decent and drinks were well made with a good amount of alcohol. Service was also excellent, waitress checked on us a few times! Gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because the restaurant itself can use a little updating. Women’s bathroom had a funky smell and booth seats had wear and tear…including some colored duct tape to keep leather seat in place. If you haven’t been here in awhile, go give them another try!
Friendly service. Lively bunch at the bar dropping plentiful F bombs. It is a large restaurant, but we were seated right by this noisy bunch. (?)
Food was good, but small portions. I had the Chile relleno which was very good.
I was in town visiting my family, and we were going to try a different Mexican restaurant in Cavecreek but it was closed so we decided to try this place instead. My brother and I both ordered the Carnitas Chili Relleno. It was one of the best I have ever had. They were kinda stingy with the chips and salsa, but they are good. I would come again.
Was on vacation in Arizona and stopped to eat in this restaurant. Big with lots of room for big gatherings, and a nice outdoor patio. Good food and great attentive staff. We had nachos, shrimp tacos and beef empanadas and their spinach queso was great.
Had the chicken mole, great flavor and heat. Guacamole made table side. Wife said the enchiladas and the margaritas were tasty. Live music! Age appropriate. At least for us boomers.
So I've gotta say....I ordered Hacienda's for the first time through door dash. I was watching my mom's dogs and was craving some good Mexican food. I went on yelp and they had good reviews so I figured I would try it. The food arrived super fast but when I got upstairs and checked the order I was so disappointed to find that they missed an entire plate. I called the restaurant and they were very apologetic and accommodating. I decided to drive over to the restaurant and pick it up. When I got there they had it ready and waiting and even gave me a free dessert. It was very nice of them! Once I got home, we finally ate! The food was amazing! The taste was spot on and quality was superb. I was very pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be back!
OH MY! SO DELICIOUS!!!!!!
I had Irene's Anaheim Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas
Smothered with a delicious Chicken/mushroom cream sauce, topped with mozzarella cheese, sour cream sauce and fresh avocado. Served with rice and refried black beans . My mouth was dancing in all the flavor presented in this dish! Marvelous presentation! the waitress was wonderful and suggested Tachi's Green Chicken Chimichangas with the same delious sauce topped with guacamole and sour cream sauce. Not only is the food magnificent and the staff warm and friendly, the atmosphere of the place is wonderful - lights, colors, art- all add to the warmth of the place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE !!
We really liked this place. Good service, very good margaritas and good food. There were a few items we found to be a bit out of the ordinary from most Tex Mex restaurants. The refried beans were made from black beans, and the rice was just standard white rice. I had the hard shell tacos and I liked how they came with the toppings on the side so I could make my tacos exactly like I like them. My wife had the shrimp tacos and they were outstanding. The side items were a bit underwhelming but overall we liked Hacienda's and will return.
We are lunch there after a massage. Everything was very good. The shrimp tacos were very good. We liked the salsa and chips also. staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back again.
