I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I had the lobster escargot, mixed greens for a salad and American Kobe short rib. Food was excellent. Meat was very tender. Asparagus was cooked properly. Garlic potatoes was not overdone with garlic.
Yummy sit down lunch in the FiDi area!
We came here with a group of six for a celebration lunch. We had a reservation and asked ahead of time to be seated outdoors, which we were. The day was absolutely gorgeous and we were psyched for a delicious meal.
We ordered a bunch of starters for the table, plus individual plates and beverages.
Crab cakes - super rich and not overly fried. You could really taste the crab and the corn succotash it was served with was delicious. Not the type of accompaniment I usually expect but I was surprised by how much I liked it. There were three crabcakes per order.
Heirloom tomato, peach, and burrata salad - fresh and summery. Creamy burrata with ripe peaches and tomatoes. The salad could have used a little more basil and a sprinkling of black pepper, but it was light and perfect for a warm day.
Tuna poke - served on wontons with avocado and spicy mayo. It was good but not great. The tuna got a bit hidden behind the avocado and mayo and didn't shine through as much as I wanted it to. Three wontons topped with tuna to an order.
Deviled egg - with crispy prosciutto and pickled jalapeños. I was disappointed by this dish, I usually loved deviled eggs but this one was just ok. The eggs were overstuffed with filling and the filling very much overpowered anything else such that you couldn't taste the jalapeño or the prosciutto. On the plus side, there were 6 to an order, which I found generous.
Signature chopped salad - I got this for my main meal and really enjoyed it. The salad felt fresh and light despite some heavier ingredients like artichoke, mushrooms, and asparagus. I was glad I asked for my dressing on the side, as the salad really didn't need any at all! That said, the dressing was AWESOME, super thick and acidic and delicious for dipping bread into.
Other people ordered the fried chicken, pork belly sliders, kobe beef sliders, fish tacos, and steak. All seemed satisfied with their food. I tried some of the fried chicken and enjoyed it. It was juicy and tender, though it could have used more crust. Also, one minor snafu was that my wine glass came with lipstick on it, but it was immediately replaced with apologies and complete lack of attitude, which I appreciated.
Overall, a really solid option for a sit down lunch in the area. It's on the pricy side, but if work's paying, come and enjoy!
Tucked away and a bit hard to find, but great food. Try the short ribs and the muscles and check out their great (but expensive) wine list. Good for large parties, lots of outdoor seating under tents.
Delicious fare and highly recommend the filet mignon selections and lobster mac & cheese. The waiter serving the al fresco area is a fast-talker; so keep your ears open at all times.
Went here for a company holiday party.
The Lamb Shank was delicious.
The overall ambiance of the place was also nice.
Somewhat Standard FiDi in French Quarter. Do not leave here without trying the Beef Stroganoff. Friendly and Attentive staff. Outdoor and Indoor Dining
love their private room for parties upstairs...do a great job with a large group.
The Pan Roasted Wild King Salmon was exceptionally good.
The pork chop was excellent, as was the duck quesadilla .
best fried chicken I have ever had!
