great pancakes and bagels, coffee is a bit dull though. it serves what is promised. I shall go there again when the wether is finer though.
Awesome. Great food, great selection and price. We recently visited California. We are from the Midwest, and we had sticker shock for most of our vacation! But when we visited Stacks, we were very pleasantly surprised. We actually visited two of their locations and we're very happy with both!
Got to stacks in Hayes Hill and was very impressed with the location. Every table outside was full. Walking in the dining room was also packed; thought for sure I was going tp be waiting forever. After putting out name in went to the restroom, came back & we were already sat. The blood mary's were delicious as well as the veggie omelette, made with egg beaters. FYI..portions are huge. Seeing as though I'm at stacks, I had to check out the cakes. We order 1 of each specialty (Lumberjack & banana wheat and coconut) both were decent, just a little to sweet for me. I'll have to try the plain next time.all in all, fast, fresh, friendly. Good review.
Wonderful Breakfast! I thought all breakfasts tasted the same but they add a touch more! The lumberjack pancakes taste like a blueberry muffin as a pancake! One of te best I have ever had! This place is a must when visiting San Francisco!

Darn good breakfast/brunch/lunch the interiors are a little over to top with drama, but the booths and high cielings help offset that, I had the delicious crab frittata which was a pleasant surprise. Good, friendly service, food came out quickly which was nice too. I will definitely go back! Yumm

Right as you enter, you can feel a very warm vibe from the place. It's very homey with rustic decor.
The food is excellent - great portion size and decent prices. They have an extensive menu that's sure to have something for everyone. The staff was very friendly, and and recommend good substitutions for a picky eater like me.
I'd definitely come back next time I visit San Francisco.
First time eating here and everything was amazing. The portions are fairly large. If you are A drinker, I recommend the mimosas, they are so tasty. They do get busy really fast, so be prepared.
Delicious! I had the Divine Chocolate Waffle and boy oh boy. It's a very large portion for breakfast and I nearly couldn't finish it all! The Cafe is cute, child friendly and even has a few outdoor seats so you can eat with your dog!
We went at 11am on a Saturday and even though the place was packed, the wait was only about 15 minutes which was surprising given the line. I didn't realize how flavorful the Spanish omlette was going to be! It is really the star of the plate. I also thought the bagel was going to be a plain chewy bagel, but instead they toasted it on a stove with lots of butter so it goes so well with the jams they provide on the table. The prices may seem kind of pricey but they give really big portions. There are so many items on the menu I want to try next.
Portion sizes are large and the chicken and waffles and biscuits and gravy were very good. Had to wait 30 minutes to get a spot but it was worth it.
Amazing place. My brother and I decided to go across town for brunch. Looked super packed with people waiting outside for a table. We went to place a table for 2 and sat us outside immediately. Customer service and food especially were amazing. We both had the Meat Omlette which of course were served with a bagel and hashbrowns. Amazing place! I've also been here with my girlfriend half a dozen times and each time has been great!
Beware of huge pancakes! Ordered a full stack, which comes with 3 pancakes but was surprised how big they were. The server said "good luck finishing it." Nice atmosphere, their patio looked cool, and staffs were friendly. Even though this place was in the middle of a hip area, it didn't hurt my wallet.
Yep. Yep. Yep. Definitely recommended, especially the Benedictine eggs with crab and English muffin. The room was beautiful and the service was good as well. The pancakes and waffles were also tasty (and filling), definitely homemade. The only downpoint would be the hash browns which were not amazing - but who cares?
Great American🇺🇸fare! Try the Carnitas, eggs, and hash browns. Great atmosphere but a little noisy, so sit close together 😚
Note: the bread comes already buttered, yeah!
Service was great and super friendly! Potatoes were mediocre but main dish was delicious and had to force myself to not eat all the bagel. Reasonable prices for San Francisco.
