Chef Manny has once again revived the space that used to house the longtime Palace Steak House-- this time with a complete remodel of the space. I'd been meaning to check it out since they recently opened, but stumbled into a special 4 course wine dinner on a Monday when they are typically closed. Boy am I lucky! The first dish was an amazing Scallop dish with fried Yuca, Carrots, and a myriad of different Beets with a Burre Blanc sauce. The Scallops were cooked to perfection, and all the flavors were complimentary in ways that were quite interesting. The next dish was some of the best Ravioli Ives had in my entire life! Sweetbreads and Foie Gras were stuffed inside some lightly al dente house made pasta and doused with veal jus and topped with Parmesan cheese. The main course was really bomb Duck Breast with Chimichurri. This was served with a healthy portion of vegetables which also provided a beautiful color contrast to the tender redness of the Duck. The meal finished with fresh French baguette and two types of cheese: Brie de Nangis and Schmidhauser. The cheese was excellent cut and served on the baguette with the fennel moutarde filling in the gaps. If you've never been to any of Manny's previous restaurants, then do yourself a favor and get to Francisca's with haste! This place is going to blow up more and more!

Amazing food, one of the best culinary experience I have had anywhere Great wine list, excellent service (attentive but not in your face). Can’t recommend it enough.

Great spot and great value for the 5 course menu! It's hard to find a spot that offers a $39 five course meal AND 2 for 1 cocktail menu on Wednesday and Thursdays.

I have to agree with a previous reviewer. The service was so mediocre that it took away a great deal from the experience. After the meal, my friends informed me that the server was the chef/owner's wife who mainly works at the SF MOMA's In Situ which is kind of full of attitude and indifference. The server didn't know about the drinks and was reluctantly helpful in getting our questions answered (i.e. what's the difference between this punch or that punch, etc). It seemed like she didn't want to be there. Personally, I get it and would be more empathetic in other circumstances, but in the service industry you have to fake it- that's the job! It might not be the right fit to have her in the restaurant and would definitely makes me less sure about returning. HOWEVER we all loved the place/vibe and the food!! The chef/owner personally serves an amuse bouche to all patrons and also serves the tasting menu items. One of my friends got the $39 tasting menu and loved it. I found it good but a little boring and not as appealing as the $16 plate of 4 street-style tacos another friend had or my $15 sandwich. We also shared the fried yucca for $6 and had various punch drinks for $13. There is no full bar. Keep in mind that Francisca's is not quiet, as there is usually a DJ. But the music was loud enough to prevent a conversation at your table. And the DJ was very friendly. We also all appreciated being able to watch some plating. Next time we hope to sit at the counter near the kitchen.

Francisca’s is SO GOOD. Whether you are going for brunch or dinner, the menu is always fresh and flavorful. The four course dinner is incredible and they are so accommodating to dietary needs. They’ve made the entire four courses gluten free & vegan for me many times. You can also add a wine pairing to the courses dinner if you’d like. The dishes are always different and ALWAYS made fresh. You must try the yucca fries. They also have a great wine list and drink menu. Over all this place is great for the value. A truly special find in the mission.

Inspired cuisine at the intersection of Italy and Venezuela. Order the chef's selection and get to know owner/proprietor Mani and his wife Katerina. We especially liked the Cesar Chavez salad and the lasagna made with plantain four. Great decor. A hip spot for a weeknight feast.

Food quality and taste excellent, love the chef. But the quantity seemed.to.gave been resteicted.l by the food cost accountants. Ambience exciting and colorful, but with no rugs can be hard to hear noise wise

Did the tasting menu and it was wonderful. Four courses, each was unique. Had a bottle of wine and was out for less than 180., Which as we have learned in this town is something to celebrate. The chef came out twice to explain the meal which I thought was a nice touch.

Love Chef Manny... From the days of Mr Pollo, Roxy Cafe, The Palace, and now Francisca's. I've been to Francisca's a few times in 2017. It was a great meal every time. Their wine maker dinners are special. Great food and wine at a good price point. We actually celebrated the new year with them. A solid meal with caviar, crudo, scallops, rack of lamb and dessert. Of course, lots of wine. I still need to try their tasting menu which is only offered at the counter. Will return shortly....

Fantastic food. So many choices. And if you are looking to be spontaneous, cult members choice is a must. The variety is amazing, combinations of food come from all over the world. It is truly a unique place to be. Definitely worth the price.

I have been following Manny for years and he continues to do an amazing job with each of his restaurant ventures. Went in for brunch today and had the best avocado toast ever. This place truly deserves all the five star ratings it gets. Manny always delivers.

Nice little mission neighborhood restaurant. If you get there early it's nice and quiet, gets crowded after 7. Known for "taco Tuesday " they their yummy 'watermelon margarita and the yucca.
