Last week, I had to make a last minute lunch reservation for a large group of people. Food came out a bit slow- but mainly due to us being such a large group. Food was solid and service was attentive. Highly recommended for people who enjoy asian cuisine.
While visiting San Diego, we wandered around the Gaslamp District on a Monday night looking for a menu that sounded interesting but wasn't going to cost more than $50 per person for dinner. Sovereign's menu looked good, the prices were right, and we loved the vibe and look of the place, so we decided to give it a shot. HOLY MOLY!!! We were blown away... The food was out of this world, the portions were more than healthy, and the service was excellent. We would have happily paid twice as much for the dinner we had, and we certainly left there smiling, full, and impressed. Highly recommended!
Started off bad with rock hard chicken Satay. The beef satay was nice and tender but the chicken was definitely recooked. The crab fried rice and the Pad Ped Talay were very good. The green curry was a bit too watery but had a nice rich flavor. Would definitely go back.
Good flavours and quiet place to eat. Heat on spicy dishes was inconsistent though... Had to use spice tray to level things out.
