Great experience!! So very excited that I could eat anything in the store. The employee was very kind and patient dealing with my many food sensitivity questions. It's been forever since I had something so amazing. I bought several cupcakes, 2 cinnamon rolls and a dinner roll. I love them all, flavorful perfection. The dinner roll was extra fluffy, soft and delicious. 10/10 I can't stop thinking about the yummy goodness at Starry Lane Bakery. I will be making another trip today.
starry lane bakery is amazing! i have a few food allergies and also happen to be vegan. starry lane bakery is the first and only business i have ever walked in that i could eat literally everything! and it’s all delicious. my fiancé, who does eat almost all of the top 10 allergens, agrees that the quality is easily comparable to typical bakeries. the service is also incredible and the employees helped answer every question we had. it is so clear that they take the safety of all customers into account and i really appreciate that they keep outside food and beverages outside (they even confirmed that our water bottles had only water). as somebody that has has to say no to almost every bite of food i have been offered in the past 5 years, it is truly special to have a place like this. if you have any allergies (or just like baked goods) do yourself a favor and check out starry lane bakery. I will personally recommend the campfire cupcake and classic carrot cupcake :)
We went there twice on our week long trip to San Diego from Nashville! It was so amazingly delicious. We got many items to try and they were all amazing. I had a hard time believing that it was top 10 free… not sure how they do it. I’m going to be ordering their mixes to use at home at the insistence of my kids!

Starry Lane Bakery is a great bakery for anyone who needs to avoid the top allergens. They have a list of ingredients on their website and in-store, and as you would expect, they are very educated on cross-contamination prevention.
The store has a cute coffee shop vibe, and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into every detail of the store. They have a variety of cookies, pastries, and breads, and even offer batters and frosting if you'd like to make your own at home. I chose a Triple Berry Muffin and an Oatmeal Triple Chocolate Chunk Cookie. Anyone who has allergies to milk and egg knows how difficult it is to bake without those ingredients, and I can't believe how great these tasted!
UPDATE: We ordered our wedding cake from here! We requested a rustic swirl, and our florist added the flowers. We loved that Starry Lane Bakery offered cake tasting beforehand, so we could still have that wedding cake experience. We chose vanilla cake, spice filling, and vanilla frosting. We had a destination wedding, so we transported the cake via car then froze it until our wedding day. It worked out perfectly and was delicious!
Gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free, and totally vegan. This is the only place my wife is ever been to where she can literally have (almost) everything in the bakery. She was so grateful she had tears of gratitude for the first couple minutes here :-) no exaggeration! It's really hard to find great food (especially desserts) like this for people with allergies. And the Tenant was super helpful and friendly. Do you have allergies this is definitely place for you to come because there are desserts here for you :-)
I was recommended this bakery by "The Gluten Free Baking Co - NORTH PARK". They were not able to complete my request do to unforseen circumstances.
Though I was able to place my order with Starry Lane over the phone and was then able to pick it up 24 hours later.
The cake came out perfect my wife could really enjoy it seeing it had none of her allergens in it.
You guys knocked it out of the park.

From all the non dairy places I've had this is on top of the list. Even between the places that have dairy, the cupcake was still one of the best. Wish parking in the area was easier otherwise I'd be here every week.

OMG can I say this spot is AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! I ordered a 1/2 dozen cupcakes for my sister bday June 19th. I needed them by Wednesday because we left for our healing retreat early Thursday morning. Unfortunately, they are not open Mon-Wed so that meant I needed to buy the cupcakes on Sunday.
I must admit I was a bit nervous because I didn't know if they would last that long or be as fresh. The gentleman working gave me instructions on how to freeze the cupcakes and NOT refrigerate them. All information on that is posted throughout the store as well.
Anywho, I was shocked to find that not only did the cupcakes look gorg as they did when I first bought them but they tasted just as delish and fresh. Again, I followed instructions to the letter. I kept cupcakes in the original container I purchased them in and then I saran wrapped them till they were sealed tight. Put in freezer Sunday at 12 pm and didnt take them out until Thursday morning at 6am just before getting on road. Once I got to my destination, I did have to put them in the hotel fridge overnight until the next day of June 19th. Again, everything was perfect. See pictures attached.
I highly recommend them to anyone with allergies. Everyone in the group had something unique and they all was able to enjoy these delish treats. Thanks Starry Lane!!!
My son is allergic to at least 8 of the top allergens. When I found this place, I was so hyped to try it out. Parking for one is horrible, no fault of the establishment, but just keep that mind for planning purposes. Upon walking in, I was greeted by friendly staff. They explained how all their baked goods are free from top allergens and proceeded to ask, which are my allergen needs. Luckily for my son, all of their recipes can accommodate. We tried at least 6 different baked goods, the stand out being the smores cupcake. All their creations were delicious. You really can't tell they are allergen free. Give a try, highly recommended.
Yes it's true, the cinnamon buns at Starry Lane Bakery may change your life, or at least your entire day. The rest of the pastries were just ok for me (muffin came in second), but the prices were very reasonable and I always appreciate the efforts of a dedicated establishment. Most unexpectedly, the iced coffee (black) was better than most. You should check this joint out. I will be back 🤗 Thank you for existing!!
UPDATE 7/24/2018 : The cinnamon buns were calling!! If you're standing there looking at all the treats, unsure about the $5+ price tag of these morsels, I'm here to tell you that you will not regret the indulgence! I also tried the Carrot Cupcake and a plain roll, and I highly recommend both. This is what cravings are made of. Oh, and the service is fast and all smiles. FIVE stars
