Was in San Diego for a nursing symposium & referred to the Broken Yolk by a local. And it did not disappoint us. I had the soup, salad & half a sandwich for lunch. The portion sizes were just right, their tomato basil soup was "bomb" & loved their pomegranate mimosa. JT, our server was friendly & very accommodating. I would recommend & go back, when in the area again.
So amazing!!!! Our new favorite breakfast spot. Omelettes and eggs Benedict are to die for.
Great brunch at Broken Yolk at the Mission Valley Location. We sat on the dog friendly patio which was nice. We ordered the hash skillet and ranchero skillet which were both very good. Service is quick and friendly. The outdoor patio isn’t as big as other locations, but still gives more private and environment from the louder inside. Recommend!
This location always plates the food beautifully, the savory crepes were a little bit sweet this time, they usually have a more savory taste. Still delicious though. My husband had the biscuit and gravy and said he wished they were more smothered in gravy, but still really good. My daughter had the kids egg breakfast with fruit and sweet potato fries. They both had the strawberry banana smoothie, super delicious. Our server was amazing. We look forward to returning.
Absolutely loved this place; our first time and we were impressed. We had a party of 10 and they took care of us promptly and comfortably. Food was fantastic as were the mimosa samplers. The San Diego location didn't let us down, great experience.
Food was absolutely delicious 😋 We are from out of town and didn’t know where to eat. We were hungry and honestly I’m so glad we landed at Broken Yolk restaurant. I had the Crunchy French toast combo with scrambled eggs and Turkey sausage Patties. My husband had the Chicken Fried Steak with hash-browns, scramble eggs, and buttermilk biscuits. We left our plates empty. And walking out full and happy.
Food was real good. Didn't know they had a mimosa flight so I ordered it. Was sooooo good. Loved the music, 80's vibe. Customer Service was good as well. Will be back again.
Nice older restaurant. Service was good if a bit unexperienced. The food was well done. I has tye montecristo and it was a good balance of everything. The hashbrowns could have been better there were still soggy areas and burnt areas. The pancakes were basic but fluffy. The mimosa flight was ok, just some sparkling wine with mixed juices (orange, lemonade, cranberry, and grapefruit).
Better than any Denny's or IHOP. Great menu range and variety. Mimosa flight was delicious! Monte Cristo (french toast Sammy with ham and cheese and a raspberry dipping sauce) is a sure hit. If you're looking for a good breakfast spot that's not the norm. Than this is the place!
What a delicious stop for breakfast! We had the churro French toast, Nutella crepes, chocolate chip pancakes. All were super delicious! Definitely a great stop to get the day started. It's a little on the expensive side, but well worth it!
Great food, great service and atmosphere. Prices are a little higher at this SD location but we didn't mind. Food came out quickly and our server was very attentive.

This place has some great breakfast. The atmosphere is nice and new, it is clean, and inviting. I got the Biscuits and Gravy which were amazing especially with the sausage patties. The gravy is thick meaty and has great flavor. The biscuit was big fluffy and flaky. The Arnold Palmer I got was a bit on the sour side, but I prefer that over too sweet. Service was quick and friendly. The menus were clean had a large selection depending on what your in the mood for.
