I drove right past this place initially because I saw the giant "Freight" on the building, and not the smaller "Gold," but I easily turned around and parked right in front of the building. When you walk in the front door, the coffee shop is too the left, thru open doors that say Gold. It's kind of a cool warehouse feeling, and like you're walking into the big storage closet of the warehouse which is decorated as a cute, inviting coffee spot. I like the yellow furniture, teal wall, and unobtrusive merch areas. The straws and napkins are easily accessible in the middle of the shop. The two workers were friendly and cheerful, and my drink came out quick! The espresso is good. I can completely understand why people love this place.
Finding this specialty coffee shop in San Antonio was like striking gold! They brew Cat & Cloud beans with a great selection. I swung by to pick up a large order for my family and everything was great. I personally had a really unique single origin espresso. Super fun place, highly recommended.
Love this coffee shop. Their lattes are legit. I think that's what determines a good coffee shop from a great coffee shop. I like to determine my likeness more on how the coffee shop latte tastes. I would like to recommend they add salted caramel flavor to their syrups. I think that should be a standard flavor at all shops. 🤣 this location shares a common space with a BBQ joint so you can get a coffee and get BBQ. Double win
Gold is one of the most consistent and delicious coffee shops in town. The cat cloud beans are delicious and the owner is dope. If you're getting coffee in SA, make this your stop.

Such a great place. Great coffee, great pastries and great atmosphere. The owners are AMAZING, they are very personable and great at what they do. They care about the consumers and the community and refuse to be anything short of authentic. They will literally give you the shirt off their backs and make you the meanest cup of joe you’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend to a friend and 10/10 wish everyone could enjoy this little treasure.
I love coming to this place! I bike ride here with my buddies like every other weekend, we get some delicious brew. Staff is super nice and friendly. Great back patio to talk and relax in too. Nice cozy interior. The pie is delicious too!! I could go on and on. Go here for good coffee!!
Amazing coffee spot. I was in town from Houston and I'm so glad I found this place. I had a babycakes flavored latte which had the right balance of sweetness and the foam was so smooth.
