Classic dive. Betty is a joy to talk to. Its like drinking in a museam with grape vines on the back porch. Great prices. Cannot talk this place up enough!

Used to come here back in 1999-2000 and loved the place, and Betty was the sweetest person in the world. I was really pleased to see that 19 years later the place was still around, and Betty is still the sweetest!!!! Hopefully it won't be 19 more years before I'm back again!!!!!

Very chill place; good music and good people. Betty's was in and shared the history of the place. Dives like this won't last long in today's world, check it out while you can.

I was station at Fort Sam 20 years ago. I loved this bar. The owner made every soldier feel like they were welcome and cared for. Everyone one knew not to mess with her and she always seemed to have our back. When I saw it is still there it gave me a warm feeling. If you have severed this place will seem like home.

Betty's is a fantastic little bar, everyone is really friendly. This place is just what I was looking for on a weekend, great customer service! I was here on a Saturday night and the live music was incredibly good it swapped between traditional Mexican and old country songs all of which were really enjoyable to me. I read alot of reviews on this place before choosing to come here and would like to clear some stuff up. First please do not bring your own liquor into the bar as that is illegal in Texas. Second Betty's Battalion absolutely does have liquor so you really don't need to bring your own anyways. I had a whiskey sour and an old fashioned and they were very well made and delicious. The liquor selection is a bit limited as far as brands but they had the big names. They don't serve food here but you can ask Betty for snacks and she'll get you some peanuts or something like that. They also have a big patio that's great if you smoke or want to enjoy some fresh air with a beer in hand. Overall I really enjoyed this peaceful, friendly, local little bar. For sure check it out while you're in San Antonio, it's peaceful the booze is cheap and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Awesome establishment. Cold beer. Betty Ford is the best. Live music is out of this world. Betty always has the best live entertainment and never a cover charge.

Great San Antonio secret. Wonderful place that supports our troops. Beer bar only. Fun place that is what ever you make it. Very eclectic and interesting. Wonderful military history here. If you try to go in and the door is locked, just knock to be let in.

Betty's is one of those gems that you have to see. A dying breed that your dad would be proud of. Old school dive with real character, a friendly professional staff, great jukebox, pool table and happy hour from 5 to 9. Full bar and a great back yard. You can catch vinyl DJ's on Wednesday and live music most Friday's and Saturday's.

Laid back, affordable, great dive for Military patrons. Went here a lot when I was stationed at FSH. Betty is the best hands down. The first time I walked in was on a dead night after a bad day, we split a pizza, shoved quarters in the juke box and just talked about nothing. Will always have a place in my heart.
